Or could some other method of providing feedback to the STO Foundry devs be provided? We're missing a lot of vital assets, and there are a lot of short comings of the Foundry, that it would be nice if we could see addressed. For one thing, I still think the detail limit is set too low.
It would really be nice if we could provide feedback and know that someone is actually reading it. Statements in the past have indicated that, despite the name, few devs seem to actually read the "Foundry Discussion &
Feedback" forum.
I think that the devs also could benefit from knowing what we as Foundry authors consider to be lacking or in need of improvement. While we obviously aren't involved in the coding of the Foundry and don't know the details involved in that, we
do know the Foundry and what improvements it needs. Just speaking for myself, my Foundry character has a /played of more than 84 days (I don't know, maybe I should be embarrassed about that. )
If we could provide some feedback and guidance on what features from the Neverwinter Foundry would be most beneficial to the STO Foundry, and what major problems there currently are in terms of bugs, missing objects, etc, I think it could really improve the development of the Foundry in this game.
To be honest, I'm actually kind of surprised that no one is asking us any questions at all, when we're the ones who have the experience using the tool. It's always that we get a dev on a Q&A and finally get to ask questions about what features we can expect, and/or how difficult it would be to add a specific feature, but no one ever seems to be asking what we want, or consider important, even though we are the ones who know best what the Foundry is lacking.

NW has a foundry team. We don't really have a team. Who would we be talking to, exactly? BF could do PR and spotlight stuff. Zero might listen in, since she doesn't seem to read the forums. Just not sure who we'd be talking to and if those people would actually have the ability/time/people to do anything.
Zero might not respond to every thread, but she is reading all the threads in the 3 Foundry forums daily. QA also reads the Foundry Bugs sub-forums, investigates the issues and gets them into the queue to be fixed.
These forums are the best place to submit feedback, bugs, etc. The call I held was to discuss the spotlight on the Foundry, not to collect feedback or suggestions for the toolset. Also, a concise and constructive post will always be better than me passing along a summary from a conference call.

Well that is news! Thanks.
This whole post from you almost makes up for taking my editor away tonight
Seriously, this is pretty awesome to know.
Zero continues to cement herself as my favorite Dev.
You suggesting that if the Foundry Community embarked on such an endeavour (it would be a book) , that it would be seriously looked at and considered and replied to in some official capacity ?
Because if that sort of thing were true ...
Well, that's definitely good news, if it's true. It's also quite different from the sense I was given by previous interviews, etc. But I'm certainly not complaining if my previous understanding was incorrect.
Maybe you can answer this question: Am I allowed to discuss features of the NW Foundry in the context of how they would be a benefit if brought over to the STO Foundry? Before I could speculate, but now having seen them firsthand, I'm not sure I'm allowed? I'm not really planning on "giving anything away", just stating that various features would be helpful in STO.
