I run STO's video at low I have 8GB RAM if I upgrade my RAM can I put it up higher (Right now if id it slows it down to a crawl) or do I need one if the 1000$ video cards also I use a VM so the might be the reason I have to run it low.

    8 GB of RAM is plenty... Your issue is mostly likely the graphics card/chip your system is using... (what it it currently???)

    I am not sure but I am 99.99% on the side of video card so thank you.

    I'd say so, I'm running at mid-high on 2 Gig ram with no trouble.
