Problem with "Assimilation"

So I'm playing Assimilation, and I managed to destroy the first two spheres and the cube they send at you, but after that, my weapons are useless. I've fired salvo after salvo of XII quantum torpedos and even the transphasic cluster torpedo. None of my weapons have any effect either on the borg ships or the Undine. Is there something I need to do to make sure my weapons are more effective?

    This happened to me too, I just left the mission and restarted and it all worked fine....I think its a bug :D
    Being first at any cost is not always the point.

    Stop fighting, when red alert fades away a dialogue box should pop up that progresses the mission so you can defeat the Borg and undine. The same will happen in the big (fight) inside the cube, but I won't go into detail on that and spoil the story.

    Has always seemed bugged to me, anyway, since it shouldn't wait for you to drop out of combat to give you the dialog window.
