This is Chis de Burgh's The Crusader with an STF twist:
What do I do now, said the Captain to the fleet. The Borg have attacked Defera and have forced a haste retreat. I fear that the Deferi have fallen and are lost, they are no match for the Borg and will pay a heavy cost.
The Deferi are lost! The Deferi are lost! The Deferi are lost!
Fear not, said the Admiral, we shall put them to the sword. Show the Federation's mercy to those called the Borg. The Deferi need assistance and we shall grant them swift release. We shall teach the Borg what becomes of those who make war of peace.
The Deferi are lost! The Deferi are lost! The Deferi are lost!
Now, said the Admiral, we shall call upon our foes. Call the Orions, Gorn and Klingons, and say it's time to show. The Borg must be taught that our Quadrant will not yield. They must withdraw at once, or we shall face them in the field.
On a Borg Diamond, high above Defera Prime, stood the Borg Queen thinking herself to be sublime. Thinking and scanning, scheming and planning and crushing those in her way. Secure in the knowledge that she had won the day.
The Collective said We have urgent news, our Queen. The Quadrant is different from how it has been. The powers have rallied! Their combined fleet We have seen!
In a rage the Borg Queen you will be disassembled, you are defective. I shall purge your illness from the Collective. Our foes quarrel too much, they have no common objective.
We are invincible! We are the Borg! We are invincible! And WE.....WILL....WIN! We will win.
The task force arrived with Plotkin in command. He looked out and saw the Deferi land. He said now boys it's time that we began.
The fleet followed his Odyssey and attacked the Borg head on. Soon the Borg front lines were gone. And the Borg were flying, screaming and dying, and the task force ships were strong. And the Borg Queen ran as she heard their victory song.
We are invincible! We are the fleet! We are invincible! And WE....WILL....WIN! We will win!
What do I do now, said the Borg Queen to her collective. My force now lies in ruins and we have failed in our objective. It would seem our enemies are more united than perceived. Can our conquest of Defera somehow be retrieved?
Our Queen it would appear as though We have blundered. The Klingons and the Federation will not see their Quadrant plundered. Our offensive has caused age old enemies to unite. The Alpha Quadrant powers are now ready to stand and fight.
