Peregrine Fighters

This may be a stupid question but where do you get peregrine fighters? One of my romulan reputation missions requires a peregrine fighter to complete and I have no idea where to get one (i do have a non combat pet)

    That's a stupid question! Sorry, I just can't help but make that silly DS9 jack pack joke. :P

    To answer your question, there are ship equipment vendors at most shipyards who sell peregrine fighters. There's one in the ESD shipyard too, he's located on the lower tier, to the left side.

    Should be pointed out that the fighter reward is the non-consumable hangar equipment, so you will need a carrier of some sort to make use of it.

    Probably need to own a carrier to buy the peregrines, too.

    The hangar items are purple ultra-rates, and the upgrade asks for green. Has anyone had success getting any peregrines to fill these slots? I received blue peregrines with one of my carriers, and they can't be used for the upgrade. Of course, they also want green/blue ops/eng doffs, but it only takes whites.

    I'm working on the elite Scorpions right now. The blue Peregrines you can buy for ~4k EC work just fine.

    I tried it on Tribble a while back, and it did accept the current EC ones. The ones that come with a HEC are zero-value and can't be used.

    Is there any way to buy them without the carrier? I really didnt know when I clicked on the mission that I would need all that stuff, but Im not going to buy a carrier just to get it out of the way. Anybody have any ideas on how to skip it or how to get them?

    I've also crafted 2 elite scorpion fighters using the 4k EC blue peregrines from the shipyard vendor, so I'm not sure why it wouldn't work for anyone else...
