Ok devs, new romulus is annoying but it is beatiful.
All ground missions in new romulus are annoying, tag epoch is terrible annoying (reward is ok but is annoying)!
The mission "romulus montain pass" appeared in my task list and to do it, I first need to get another quest in montain pass (it sound a bit stupid, get another mission to do the first mission or do not?). After some time another mission appeared in my task list, web access, and I need the "codes" from montain pass to complet it. Why I can not drop it? I will not do these missions!
I am not big fan of ground missions. All missions on the ground looks the same to me. The missions in new romulus are worst because they not have episodes (like klingon, romulan mystery, breen invasion, etc.) and all ground missions are time wast to grind the new and anoying marks.
Those are cutscene missions so you can ignore them if you don't want to watch them. Someone might even put them on youtube. The Web Access mission requires picking up a mission in the Paehoss Crater. The Tier 4 cutscene mission doesn't require going into an instance, but the Tier 5 cutscene which gives 750 Romulan Marks and 32,000 dilithium ore requires going to the Underground ruins teleport pad and picking up a mission that unlocks at Tier 4. You need to equip your team in EV suits which can be purchased through the dilithium store for 100 dilithium each. You can skip the Tier 2 and Tier 3 cutscene missions, but the Tier 5 cutscene mission is too valuable to skip.
Actually you can get EV suits for FREE if you replay some of the DS9 missions. Just collect as many as you need and put them into the bank until its play time.
I am not the biggest fan of the whole New Romulus mission set up thus far but I thought that was because I am level 50 and hence I am not entitled to standard missions anymore? Are there actual missions for anyone under level 50 like the one's mentioned by starkaos?
I wish there was more missions for lvl 50 players. Happy New Years btw!

You, me, or nobody is gonna hit as hard as life. But it ain't about how hard ya hit. It's about how hard you can get hit and keep moving forward." - Rocky Balboa (2006)

Yes, Tier 5 mission is realy valuable, but I realy want drop the other missions from my task list.
Happy new year! (in my time zone I need wait more 4 hours and 25 min for the new year!)

Or you can just ignore them? It's not that hard. I have about a dozen missions sitting on my "In Progress" list that I am blatantly and outright ignoring.
It is said the best weapon is one that is never fired. I disagree. The best weapon is one you only have to fire... once.
I went to New Romulus today (my first and also last visit on that wretched ugly rock of a planet) just to get rid of these "missions". Picked the Overgrown caves and Mountain Base quests to get in, then ran past everything in my way, I couldn't be bothered to kill a hundred Romulans, Tholians or whatever for just 10 Marks, and lastly clicked the recordings and beamed out. Clean work.
If those stupid missions on New Romulus at least gave a decent amount of Marks, but no, they all give 5-10! What a waste of time...
Are you serious? Stories are romulan mystery, klingon, etc! Some cutscenes are not story.
Of course a cut scene can be a story. it depicts characters talking to each other about current events that reveal information, characters and situations you did not know before.
Then ignore them. That's what I've been doing with quite a few of my missions. They sit in my in-progress and never get done. What's the big deal?
The big deal is: I do not want those missions in my task list. I do some other missions and I play missions from Foundry and sometimes I can not see in display all I need to do in my task list. Just because I have these 2 missions in my task list.
Is my choice do some missions e do not some mission.
Only possible method is to contact support and ask these missions removed. It is a longshot, but it is the only method to remove them if you don't want to touch these missions.

Press J. Go to "In Progress". There's all the missions you have in underway. You see ALL of them. None are hidden, all are there, under categories, nice and organized. Stop being lazy.

To your knowledge the option to discard is disabled. Please, stop being lazy and read all the posts before writing some garbage.

You don't need to discard the missions. I read the whole thread and tbh I was laughing for most of it. As I said, why can't you just ignore them? If you read my previous posts you will see that I have literally DOZENS of missions that I am just ignoring. If I ever need to know what missions are currently in progress, I just press J and go to the menu. I find the missions, and I see what I need. More often than not I ignore the display on the side.
I don't see a reason to be able to drop those missions. Because there isn't one. Hence why I said, press J, go to In Progress, and you will suddenly find your missions that you "lost". And you can just have those Romulan sector missions and ignore them.
Or heaven forbid... you can complete them? You might hate ground, but those missions are easy as hell. If you have problems with them, then you're doing something wrong.

Why I need to ignore a game bug?
If you choose ignore, is your choice, my choice is report it to developers and post on the forum. I can respect your choice, can you respect mine?
Anyways I was looking for a way to get the 32k dil and 750rom marks easily (I have five t5 toons), I'm kind of surprised people are not jumping at the opportunity before the whole thing is nerfed.
You have to redo the mission from T4, AFAIK. This is only from what I've heard in various in-game chat channels though, not there personally yet (I like to take things at my own pace. Enjoying the content appeals to me more than being among the first few people to complete something :P).
I found out reaching t4 is not enough to get the rewards. If you don't have the mission "Secret of the Ancients" in your progress bar you won't get the cutscene which hands out the huge rewards. So basically you play Power source, then you make sure the last room is cleared and saved 2 consoles from overloading, then play the cutscene by contacting D'Tan. Filing the report at the end hails Admiral Quinn who gives you the rewards (32k dil, 750 Rom marks, 60k expertise and 40k ec).
Edit: I forgot to mention that "Secret of the Ancients" is automatically given to you upon reaching t5 romulan reputation.

At this point, it's abundantly clear that if the way the Reputation Tier Progression doesn't fit lordhook's playing style precisely, he will consider it a "bug".
A "bug" is an "unintentional" software error or peculiarity.
This situation where you have to play through the Tier cutscene missions once in order to "submit" progression reports (and stop them from showing up in your Mission Tracker) is an intentional design feature i.e. the devs WANT you to do them.
It's fine if you don't like the missions, but calling it a "bug" is merely shifting blame to (blameless) devs.
Play them and get over it already.
Laws of thermodynamics as applied to life: 0 - You must play the game. 1 - You can't win. 2 - You can't break even. 3 - You can't quit.
The inability to drop your cutscene missions is NOT a bug.
As these missions are tied to achieving Reputation Tiers, they have no "contact" in game that can give them to you again, if you dropped them.

It's there to protect you.
Agreed. If you dropped those missions, you wouldn't be able to experience the story or more importantly, progress through the Romulan tier system.
I suggest, lordhook, that you just deal with it - it's intentional, and it's definitely not a software programming mistake.
