In the same way bridge officers were made worthless by oversupply, equipment is dropping all over the place these days and heading the same way according to the exchange.

Maybe so, but here's another thing to consider that I've noticed:

I've run foundry missions designed more or less exclusively for farming loot. After the first run, even some time into the second. I stop getting drops. Not even a battery, or components.

I've changed missions, even logged off for an extended period of time. Still no drops.

Perhaps, Cryptic may have foreseen this and implemented a drop cap of some sort. Not 100% sure, though, but what I've experienced seems to point in that direction.

Yes, I'm not sure what the limit it, but it has been stated by other that there is a daily limit to loot and xp gained from Foundry missions. It also seems to reset at the same time as Dilithium refinement.

I've not run into this drop cap. In some runs, it gets to the point where I am discarding items to make room for more.
No, I am not who you think I am. I am someone different. I am instead a banana.

I think the drop cap is based on recycled loot - perhaps in EC terms - as soon as you have recycled around 500k it stops - some people who are not recycling in mission and letting it build up in their inventory might be getting more. As most people don't go in there with 50 open slots+ they end up recycling a lot and soon the drops stop.

While on the subject of recycling.
How much EC do we get back when we recycle?
If the EC we get back is more than what I can get on the market, than TRIBBLE the market.

Recycling gets back 40% of the item's value. At some vendors (mainly faction ones, not commodity guys) you can sell for 50%.

If a thing goes for >50% of list value on the exchange, put it up there; otherwise, save it and sell it: if the items are high-ticket, like engines, for example, that extra 10% adds up.

There should just be an Energy Credit crate that takes up most of the loot table. That's all we're doing - selling the stuff on as soon as it comes in. Maybe that way equipment would increase in value.

I'm not sure what type of equipment you guys are talking about because the consoles and weapons that I need cost in most cases 30+ Million and there prices are holding steady.
