Early returns on the Tier V Scorpion Hangar Pets

So, I hit tier V in Romulan rep today and shelled out all the cash and dilithium to get the Ultra Rare Scorpion Hangar Pets for my HEC.

First impressions: Love.

I have used advanced peregrines for a long time, but these new scorps seem to really shell out the damage. They use their heavy plasma torpedoes a lot--during the Conduit tonight it looked like heavy plasma torps on parade with a line of the suckers heading in toward the gateway. I know some of them will get shot down, but with six fighters out all the time, that's a lot of torps for the bad guys to deal with.

Anyway, the cost is high, but so far it seems like quite an upgrade.

Anyone else give them a try yet?

    lol, personally I love anything that will get players out of their DHC phase, with he emergence of these little TRIBBLE we just might be able to make beams relevant in this game again since plasma torps stand no chance against bfaw and torp spread :D yay scorps!

    Well, I still have three polarized disruptor DHC on the front of the ship, so I'm not "out of that phase" :).

    Still, it's good that the rep system has produced something which seems to be pretty darn useful.

    I currently love the ultra-rare Romulan fighters but think it is missing one more thing that would put it over the top, and it would make sense to have since we are talking about the Romulan. The item I think it needs is a advance cloaking device to add to its goody bag. Because in my opinion a Romulan ship or fighter is not Romulan enough to me.

    I got a set of these through a mission a while back and must confess they were great to have as a back up. I think you can still rerun the mission and get them for free for a while longer. (I think the mission was the Vault but I could be wrong)

    Those are the comsumable device ones, this thread is talking about the non-consumable Scorpion hangars for carriers from the Romulan Reputation system(open to level 50 players.)
