Whatever happened to it?

Why was it never done?

Will we ever get that story line?

It was originally planned as an STF. Then they decided to make it a FE series. Then they decided to temporarily shelf FEs. I only know of one FE series hitting in 2013 and it's Klingon based. The core plot was setup in "Facility 4028."

I vaguely recall speculation that it may become a ground Fleet Action.

Minimal plot most likely. Fight augments on a ship in the Mutara Nebula.

Seems to me an Augment FE series would be good fun. I'd rather delve into the Iconians first but stil would like to see what the Augments are up to in 2409.

An FE series would be the perfect place for it. Or at least a regular story arc. A Fleet Action doesn't give it enough story and it would need to be a STF arc to do it justice. I suppose it could be part of a Section 31/Klingon Intelligence Reputation systems.

I feel that we need to deal with one or two more huge threats before we deal with the Iconians. After the Hive STFs, it seems like the Borg threat is pretty much done with for now. Still have the Undines to deal with and the Iconians could throw in a servant race that we have to deal with before we deal with the Iconians themselves. This game would reach a low that they can't escape from if the Iconians were being manipulated by some other race.

I don't really remember the Plot particulars but there is a Fed mission dealing with a mad Scientist that is working on Augmented Gorn. I wonder if there isn't room there somehow to expand on that but do it on the Klingon side. Maybe bring the Human augments in as something the Klingons are after. It's been a few hundred years, maybe there are a few Klingons think they know better now and are playng with the Augment DNA again.

Messing around with Augment DNA caused the Klingons to have flat foreheads. Nothing is worth the cost of having flat foreheads for a Klingon.

Maybe the Klingon Scientists that are trying to make Super Warriors aren't Putting Augment DNA in Klingons Maybe they are trying to build something more dangerous like Super Nausicans or even Super Binars.

Oh yes, Augmentation 'will make us go'. :P
I remain empathetic to the concerns of my community, but do me a favor and lay off the god damn name calling and petty remarks. It will get you nowhere.
I must admit, respect points to Trendy for laying down the law like that.
