Bug in the Duty officer resettle Colonist mission!

In my duty officer mission to resettle colonist, I can collect the reward because I have too many colonist. How do I remove it? help

    You're going to have to take some of your colonists out of your roster and stash them. The easiest way is to that is to mail them to yourself. I have an alt so sometimes I'll have the alt retrieve them. Otherwise just leave them in your mailbox until you need them.

    Or sell the extras on exchange. That works too.

    or at the very worst if your feeling lazy, right click a few colonists and discard them, :p

    Very small reward though, 10dil and a poxy amount of recruitment CXP
    [Combat (Self)] Your Bite deals 2378 (1475) Physical Damage(Critical) to Spawnmother.

    Sell colonists? Dismiss them for a pittance of dil? No! Run the colonization assignments. Exchanges five colonists for 500 dil (1500 on a crit). They're not hard to find, you just won't find them on Earth.

    Oh right... relocate colonists is semi-worthwhile now... I keep remembering it as giving 5dil but they changed that.

    Two questions:

    1) Where are the resettle assignments missions? I have gone to several sectors, clusters & systems but I do not have a resettle colonist mission? I need to get rid of them but don't want to just do it the lazy way of simply deleting them?

    2) How can I sell? When I go to The Exchange, I don't see a way to drag them from my roster into my inventory to sell? I thought colonists were bound to my character.

    1) Check under your Ops for the doff assignment. It's should appear there if available.

    2) Just drag and sell them. They are not bound. Better yet, finish the colonial chains. That is what the Colonists are there for.

    Also, some embassy projects can use ANY specialty of doff, including Colonists.

    Colonists are perfect for the embassy missions that require a certain number of civilian DOffs.
