"On Screen!"

Hey Captains!

Whit (aka CaptainKikii) here, I work with BranFlakes and am his co-host for "On Screen!", a new Community show that will be released quarterly and will feature current events and news of Star Trek Online! We are so excited for you guys to watch and learn more about what's coming up in STO, and hope to have our first episode out soon - once it is, we'll post it up on the frontpage of the site. Check out this behind the scenes shot from today: BranFlakes and CaptainKiki

I'll be hanging around the forums and participating :) You may even me in-game (I play a female Caitian Science Officer named Kikii).

    Welcome Whit! And this "on Screen" that you speak of, really is something to look forward too! Maybe it'll actually feed my withdrawal symptoms since STOked ended!?!?! And to make it even better it'll star my favourite morning Bran'd of Flakes! (see what I did there?) :P

    I'm seriously looking forward to this show guys! I really am! It sounds awesome! ;)

    Well in that case we might have to test your trek cred? ;)

    1. TOS or TNG (or DS9, Voy or Ent)?

    2. What is your favorite class of ship?

    3. Your ship is trapped in an interspacial flexure while simultaneously being crushed by a quantum string fragment. Do you:
    a) Create an inverse static warp field to realign your ship with normal space.
    b) Emit a tachyon beam from the main deflector dish disrupting the phenomena long enough for your ship to escape?
    c) Fire your helmsman for getting you into this situation in the first place?
    d) All of the above have the same chance of doing anything at all.

    4. How many lights do you see?

    Bran you've been about, you've tinkered with the PvP crowd, so beyond, "We'll be doing a review of what's going on in STO at the time of filming, as well as some teasers of what's to come." you might offer some interesting information to more casual players on how to play better, you could even encourage some to try KDF or PvP. For those reasons I am curious to see how your show will shape up. But given your position in Cryptic I expect a bias, (I hope you prove me wrong to a degree).

    As for Whit, you've suggested that you have played the game for about three months, what do you see yourself bringing to the table? To be frank I prefer intelligent women so I will be sorely disappointed if you turn out to be worth little more than eye candy, (not saying you will of course just an expression of my expectation). Sure the OPvP chat channel is rough and uncouth but if you ask I am certain more than a few would be happy to get you up to speed with the more intangible aspects of the games mechanics.
    If you are a pickle in a pickle jar you know every pickle's different, sort of, but really they're all just pickles...
    They taste the same.

    Oh, and two things:

    1) Regarding TheGreenDragoon1's question 3 above, beware! It's a trick question as the actual answer would naturally involve Tachyon particles. ;)
