Is it just me, or is there new music on New Romulus? Very moving stuff, guys...nice job.
Kinda maudlin, though...good for when you're staring off, dreamily, into the horizon. Not so much when you're repairing a Shuttlecraft.
Nope, you're not alone, I noticed it as well, and didn't rememberhearing anything like that in STO before.

I never really liked New Romolus that much. Sure, its ok. But i do not find the landscape etc particularly interesting. Something was missing. Now i realize, maybe it was the music.
Good (aka "fitting") backround music can really enhance the immersion, and how one experiences a zone. It enhances and builds up on how a zone is supposed to "feel" like and can be the little factor that makes or breaks it.
Sure there are many who turn it off anyway, but still. Unfortunately many game studios do not put enough effort in the music.
THIS. THIS is what STO needs more of. I instantly felt more immersed when I logged in and heard that music, it was great. Why don't other social zones have background music when it adds so much!
Devs thanks for the new music. It really helps and I'm always glad to see more stuff added to the game that isn't created just to generate new revenue.

* if anyone reading this at Cryptic would like to mine Star Trek Legacy for new tunes, like this one specifically, that would be pretty sweet.
