Seson 7- My Dissapointment

serevanqserevanq Member Posts: 0 Arc User
First my profile. I've been playing the game for 4 months now. I am a Gold member, and my profile would show the Devs I've spent a bit of money to get items for the game, mostly the cosmetics. I am a Trek fan at heart. I have 7 characters spread more or less evenly across both factions. My MMO profile is social/explorer.

I find very little desire to log on now, since S7. I gave New Romulus a try, as well as the new space missions. Frankly, there's more romulan content in the Reman missions than in all of this new planet, quite a disappointing. And the new system? As a max level character, I am expected to go to several outside-freeport zones and kill bats over and over... and when I'm done, what do I have? Nothing. A little time spent, a little more further on a little meaningless bar. But I should hold on, because I might get a Batkiller title.

I tried it once, I won't do it again. I already have a full time job. I understand the concept of MMO time sinks. But I come here, as a casual player, to be a starship captain. To "explore strange new worlds, to seek out new life and new civilizations, to boldly go where no man has gone before." Not to kill bats over and over.

To further my disinterest, you have declared that this new grind fest of reputations will be expanded into other already non-functioning portions of the game, like crafting. I have more bat killing in store a few months down the line. No, thank you.

I have already cancelled my membership. I didn't do it out of anger, or retribution for S7. I did it because I really find no desire to play anymore, a feeling that must be shared by whatever portion of the population I must typify, but who won't bother posting here. It has 3 months to run, so maybe you'll come up with something in the meanwhile that I will see in some email or webpage and come back to check... but unlikely. I'll probably be playing something else.

For now, I've started my 12th run through Skyrim and finding it far more appealing.

EDIT: I'll make sure to pass along your feedback, but as "I quit" threads are not allowed because they always turn into flame threads where the poster gets trolled, I unfortunately have to close this one done. Remember, now that the game is free-to-play, feel free to stop back anytime. We hope to see you again soon! ~BranFlakes
