Ah, okay. I was just able to get in-game on Tribble to check that too (was posting from my phone) -- looks like that's the case. I believe the other bugs related to small crafts should have a fix in soon.

One odd thing is my 1k day vet ship seems to be able to put any skill on it that any of my boffs have doesn't matter if its not at a station which I am assuming where most of this is coming from. Which I was helping someone train stuff on my engineer and then i log back in next day and this toon has tons of skills he shouldn't have on his skill bar LOL.
I was a little confused - this would imply that the DEfiant has an engineer and tactical BO that has level 4 (i.e. DEM3 and CRF3) skills, or two universal level 4 (I think it's Commander level), which I didn't think ewas the case

Well, then, I think you've figured out half of the point of this thread. They shouldn't be able to be used together. However, an exploit that wasn't an exploit has allowed players to do just that since the S7 patch. This problem was fixed on tribble and should be fixed on holodeck with today's patch (crosses fingers).
