Fleet B'rel

First off, the last thing the KDF needs is another gimmicky fleet BoP. We already have the Ning'tao, which specializes in exploding on command.

Second, the Eng console... BoPs are science/tac oriented, they don't have the hull to properly utilize an extra ENG console. That eng console is effectively about another .5 seconds before you blow up with only 24k hull. People are just going to use it as a universal slot, it's a really terrible design decision.

We have serious needs and wants, we need an agressive 5 tac console escort. We need a escort with a LtCmdr Sci, We want a fleet Kar'fi. We could probably do with even another sci platform on top of the new fleet varanus We do not need another version poorly improved version of the gimmicky B'rel.

This is why you don't make money off the KDF. Give us ships we actually want and we'll buy them, I promise.

    ok, let me preface this by saying I currently don't have a Klingon toon on Tribble. I plan to get one, but for the moment I have a fed toon I started (didn't see the point in converting my holodeck characters, who weren't even all that much higher in level anyways), so I haven't unlocked Klingon play.

    Now from your first paragraph, it sounds like you are against the B'rel in principle (at least as a Fleet variant). I want to say, This isn't totally fair, and I am not sure it reflects the populace in general.

    Maybe I am in the minority, but I have always prefered, and in fact heavily favored, canon ships over any other. So naturally, the idea of a Fleet B'rel, which at least in theory is an improvement over the Retrofit (whether reality agrees with the theory or not is another matter) was appealing to me. Since, as far as the KDF goes, the B'rel is the most iconic and recognized of the canon ships available to klingons.

    I am not saying you can't have other ships, including your gorn ships, but I am not sure dismissing a ship because it isn't want you want is fair to the community at large.

    The idea of a Fleet B'rel is nice in theory, but it should have the extra console be a Tac one instead of Eng.

    I'll second wanting a Fleet Kar'fi

    However I have friends who've been waiting for the Fleet B'rel since fleet ships hit tribble. They'll get to all the KDF ships eventually, they have no choice as they will run out of old ones to "fleet up".

    I'd have to side with the OP, another slightly more powerful extremely specialized BoP is not what I was hoping for when promised new ships. I'm sure many are thrilled to have another inviso-bomber option to choose from but I was hoping for something the majority of KDF players would find useful.

    Not a complete fail, but not a WOO-HOO moment either.

    I am actually extremely happy to see a Fleet B'rel Retrofit, with more hull and another console slot, BUT, there are 2 glaring issues with it. 1 The extra console slot is Engineering?? wtf, it makes no sense whatsoever for this extra slot to be anything other than Tac. this is a Raider, not a tank, there is no reason to give it an Eng slot, it needs to be a 4th Tac slot. 2 The ship is Tier 5... another wtf.. my KDF fleet isn't even to tier 2 yet and it'll take a year and then some for my fleet to get to tier 5 if ever before I lose interest in this game. This ship should be tier 3 for current B'rel retrofit owners.

    Aside from that it's good news that there is a Fleet B'rel, don't think I'll ever be able to get it though.

    B'Rel is my favourite ship. I just won 3 arenas with over 260k dmg each without dying once - with my SCI
    i didn't buy it from Zen store, cause i got it as a veteran. That means NO DISCOUNT for veterans??? THANK YOU.

    to the fleet b'rel:

    - the hull?? lol does not really matter
    - a console slot is a console slot, albeit engineering is a little strange choice. nevermind, universal consoles rock
    - the price? the 5 fleet modules ... WHY? but O.K., doable.
    - tier 5 shipyard. are devs kidding? for the small improvements which fleet b'Rel has do they need us to have a tier 5 shipyard? Why do FED'S get their fleet defiant on tier 3?

    so i am happy there is a fleet b'rel, but i won't get to it till summer 2013, i suppose.. and it does not matter so much..
