Season 7 - Got Loot? Nope!

Another game developer fail.
Ran the new Gear/Dilithium missions several times, and received little text messages, for placing 1/2/3, etc. But the loot dropped was horrible, received nothing worth selling on the market after several runs.
Ran several Omega marks STFs, received no loot at all.

Do the Chinese owners of the game not understand that people take part in game activities for some instant gratification called fun and reward? There's no longer a reward for running these missions:

No reward, no loot, no EC = no fun.

What does the game community think about the removal of Tier XI and XII loot dropping from the hardest missions in the game?

Your enjoyment does not cause massive profits at Cryptic. The removal of drops is designed to enforce spending from the player base.

Spend a minute or two below...

I averted the impending Borg domination and all I got was this lousy engine battery.

Scoutstar, that link is a good one, love how the petition there starts with:

New content is a great idea, but clear wallet attacking is not.. This is important, because the lack of these options hurts the overwhelmingly large part of the player base, and is leaving players feeling alienated, attacked, ripped off, and slighted. Furthermore, this takes the fun out of playing STF's and leaves no good reason to play them anymore while simultaneously and severely eroding the over all experience of Star Trek Online. Many players are ready to walk out and stop playing this game for good if these rewards are not brought back.

From the simple game play view, no loot from running missions is not fun, there's no reward.

I know, but alas I can't take credit for that it :(

John someone-or-other started the petition and, while I know it will make no difference to the greedy liars at Cryptic, at least they'll know some players are willing to take a stand against their wallet ****.

I have no problem with game developers releasing new content, and simply charging a fee for the update, that is completely fair and normal. These new brain-child free to play games may make them some more money, but the have very limited appeal, lack depth, and what you see is they lack good content.

Seriously, they should go back to the old format and charge you money for new ships and other items, that you would otherwise have to work your tail off to get - but could still get through hard-core playing. Since most of us don't have the time, we would happily pay 5-bucks for a new ship: times 100k players, that's 500 grand for a new ship. Cha-Ching!

Well there's just too much wrong with the new season, and this is just another example. No loot, no dil. Lovely. I have announced to my fleet of nearly 200 that I will no longer slate any fleet projects because I am tired of the dilithium sinks. I intend to starve the beast. I also said that anyone who wants to join a "pissing contest" my fleet is tier whatever fleet they are welcome to join and there will be no hard feelings. The rest of us are going to play when we want, and ignore all the snake oil PWE intends to sell us.

Hear hear. the Fleet Actions are just there as dilithium gain now. Im just airlocking the consoles.

The Omega Mark STF is working as intended.

They went from STFs are giving too much loot(dilithium, consoles, EDC, Salvage, Tech.)

    to:

Omega marks and a Borg Neural Probe.

Uh... huh. So you went from too much to basically no point of doing STFs. I mean at least for me, I'll just be doing STFs just to get enough marks and BNPs to get my projects going. Do you see what you've done Cryptic/PWE?

I used to play STFs because it was fun. You got lots of loots(and while I did airlock most of the consoles) the salvage and tech gave you something tangible for your time and deaths that you incur.

Hell right now at getting to Tier 1 all I did was a couple of Elite Infecteds. And then Im done for the next two projects or so.

Congratulations, if your intent was for me NOT to play the STFs as often, you have Succeeded.
