S7 and STF Space Weapons

Come Season 7, what exactly will happen to the [Borg] mod on my Mk XII Borg space weapons?

I know Mr. D. Stahl and some other posts I can no longer find explained all this but other than removing the [Borg] mod I can't recall what other impact this will have on my weapons.

    It was said, that the radiation part *doing a 1,000 pts of rad dmg to Borg only* was not functional for months. Therefore it is getting shunted.
