Increased STF Tech drops?

I know it could just be random numbers being random, but did they increase the Proto Tech drop rate so people can finish their sets?
I've been doing a few STFs just for fun, and it's like every second STF I do gives me a Proto Tech drop.
My friends and fleet mates probably already think I'm trolling them but nope.
I figured I see if my luck continues and I did 4 KAGE runs today. I thought the armour would be nice for my Boffs.
4 KAGE runs = 3 Prototype Armour Tech. o.O

    I would think so.

    in the last month I collected more proto tech than in the months before alltogether, and I have played less stfs on a weekly basis.

    You noticed that too ? The proto drop rates and EDC drops seem to be twice as common last week. Unfortunately the proto gear drops are still extremely rare.

    Placebo effect. You think it is, so it is.

    I've done 4 STFs in a row getting proto tech drops in each. But lately I've actually had worse luck. I've got 5 proto engine drops the past 2 weeks, but haven't seen hide nor hair of a shield drop, and only 1 deflector.

    It really is random. That doesn't mean you don't get highs and lows, it just means that overall it's random.

    I got your shields- 5 in the last week.

    Only 1 ea. of the others, and 1 proto salvage every other mission.
