Impulse Capacitance Cell

Given that I'm having problems with engine shutdowns from Viral Matrix+Sys Engineer, and that they exceed the cooldown on engine batteries, I was wondering if the Impulse Capacitance Cell from the Escort Refit works when you have no power to engines.

    It does not if I remember correctly. If VM gives you trouble, use Engineering team.

    red matter capacitor works as well.

    though if your having that much problem with it. invest in several ranks of the starship batteries skill, they extend the duration of batteries. i know the can double at high ranks, unsure if it can get higher with max ranks or if max ranks doubles.

    that way by the time the battery runs out it can last long enough for your engineering team to recharge.

    with high battery skill and the two previously mentioned powers, you should never run out of anything to counter viral matrix, unless you get really unlucky and several people chain them together on you.


    i remember subsystem repair used to help you get over VM and the like quicker, but i think they removed it with the revamp.
