I've read that the Jem'Hader Combat Impulse Engines are scalable based on your Level.
I have a Mk VIII that I acquired awhile back, but now I am Level 50 and can use Mk XI gear, and though I see its stats have improved as I've gained my Levels.... I am still curious as to whether its "scaled" stats are the same or equivalent to say, if I had the same engine in the Mk XI version?
Should I just keep the MK VIII, or would it be worth my time to ditch it, and go get a MK XI?
Is there any difference in the stats between the MK VIII and the MK XI?
Why should I redo the mission to get a MK XI?
Would getting the MK XI actually benefit me over having the MK VIII?
Or should I just keep the MK VIII?
The way to tell if engines scale is to equip them. For example, Omega MKXI looks like it has the same stats as OmegaMKXII, but if you equip each you'll see the Omega MKXII has a slightly higher max speed.
Regarding the Jem engines, I haven't compared myself, but I'd guess there's a slight to modest boost when using MKXI compared to MKVII.

Ok there is no Boost between the Mk VIII and the MK XI with the Jem'Hader Engine at Level 50.
They are completely identical...
The mission was easy enough to repeat, only took me about 10 minutes... but since the engine stats are identical, then it was basically a waste of time. But... At least I now have 2 Jem'Hader Engines that I can equip on two different ships if I want too...
That's interesting, have you made sure you were equipping it in space?
I've heard that a similar bug exists with other engines and that the only reason you'd get higher grades is if they're necessary for part of a set bonus (like Jem, STF stuff etc.)
i think it is the same with every engine in the game...they all scale up. there is this impulse engine from a mission with the guardian of time that has +energy to subsystems. this engine is the best to level up until you do stfs or get a different one you prefer.
the only bummer to the mk VII is that it does not work with the rest of the set if it is not the same mk.

The Jem engine itself is still at Mk VIII. To get a Mk XI one you'll have to run the mission again.

Yes, I know that...
My question is...
At Level 50...
