I would so like a way to save at least a couple of different setups of BOffs and DOffs, similar to the power settings. Bonus if I could save the console setup, too, but I don't want to get too greedy.
That way, if I'm going to be running around sector space DOffing, I could click a saved setup that would load my Astrometrics Scientist, and more importantly, when going into a mission I could click a button to unload the scientist and load a Projectile Weapons officer, for instance.
Missions that are against unknown species until you get there could then allow a button push to load your warfare specialists, etc.
Maybe I'm the only one, but I'm forever forgetting to swap out DOffs, and changing from DPS BOffs/powers to healer/crowd control powers is such a pain, it can take me 15 minutes or more to move everything around and remember who does what and where I want them and their associated powers. It would be so much simpler if I could save the config to a button and be done with it.

They could make it feel very "Trek" by coding various options under two different sets of "alert statuses" (one for space, one for ground), under which could activate "Red Alert" or" "Yellow Alert" or even new "orange alert", "green alert" or "purple alert" at the player's preference. These would arm a certain pre-arranged BOff, DOff, Item, and HUD scheme in a snap...
They could even make it so that veteran or high-level players gain access to more schemes, and the ability to have schemes pull items directly from their bank, rather than just their inventory...

As a lifetime member of STO, I officially became a financial liability as of April 2012 when compared to a subscriber.
Love this idea - especially the ability to pull from bank.
Also, maybe a 'vanilla', 'cream', 'beige' alert status - sorry, reminded me of an old SNL skit. lol

I don't believe there's anything available in STO of that nature. There are keybind options, but none of the options available would address this.
That's why I mentioned the power buttons. If we had setup buttons that worked similarly, you could save certain setups, and then do a keybind to enable quick switching between them.

Same situation here - I'm forever forgetting to swap out my Astro Sci for something useful in missions, and if I do remember, then I'm running the tour without him.
I might post a question in the keybinds 101 thread. I didn't see anything in the bind commands that could do this, but I'm just starting to familiarize myself with them, so maybe I missed something.
