Soon the KDF will get MACO shield and Plasmonic Leech

A few weeks ago there was a MASSIVE rage thread that ended up getting shut down because KDF players were up in arms that the Feds might be getting the Plasmonic leech and how this mated with Fed's MACO shield would be a "Game Breaker" (it was just a rumor!!)
A few weeks later and the shoe is not only on the other foot but it is no rumor:
The KDF will get the New MACO shield with its massive boost to the Plasmonic Leech.
Of course not a Peep from the 50 odd pages of KDF rage thread posters when it was just a rumor that the Feds would get it.
Now that THEY are getting it - all is quit hoping no-one on the Fed side will cause a stir and bring up this KDF termed "Game Breaking" change to the Dev's attention.
So are we going to have a 50+ page Fed rant about this confirmed balance "game-breaking" power change in favor of the KDF?
Should the KDF be allowed to get the MACO shield which boosts the Plasmonic leech by insane amounts?

I take it you also think that it's a bad idea for the Federation to get the Honour Guard set?

I wouldn't sweat it. It's mainly a PvP issue and you'll go nuts if you sweat PvP balance too hard in this game.
What PvP really needs is a solid matchmaking system.
Feds get the Vesta, KDF gets M.A.C.O shields.

Yeah like all the frakkin whiners who keep asking for Battle Cloak on their defiants. We got carriers through whining on feds. if they continue they will take EVERY ASSET of the KDF.

...at the rate things are going with Cryptic, the Feds won't be taking just the KDF assets, they'll even be taking the KDF itself! :P
Of course there too goes any other playable faction ever created for STO.
I want the Galaxy-R to not suck anymore.
The new Adapted Honour Guard Space set's three part power will be like an AoE Advanced Battle Cloak. (There is your battle cloak feds, take it or leave it).
Well it seems that is the rage idea presented by the KDF
This combo could be put on any KDF ship - which was their reason for screaming at the Dev's NOT to allow it for the FEDs
But now that they can have it and the Feds can't - it's no longer - "game-breaking?"
That is not a valid argument. The KDF players were so upset because if the Feds got the Plasmonic Leech with the MACO shield - this "game-breaking" combo could go on ANY Fed ship.
But Now the KDF will get this "game-breaking" feature for ALL KDF ships - but it's ok for them - but not for the Feds to have?
That is logical!
I'm talking Feds want the B'Rel Retro's Enhanced Battlecloak for their Defiants. So they whine and whine and whine till they get it. How do you think they got the Atrox?

If they are gonna get the game breakin combo, we might as well get the ridiculously OP'd ship.

I've read so many damned threads lately about this or that being game breaking, that I no longer listen to any of it. The water's have been muddied so much that the average casual player can't make heads nor tail of it any more and TBH, I think the same can be said for the devs too.
Sooner or later, the whole damned game is gonna implode on itself due to the weight of all this "game breakin" cheese anyway.
And when it happens, at last, we will have something massively entertaining to partake in at endgame.
Except the Atrox is a steaming pile of fertilizer that's pretty much only good with one or two specific setups, the Vo'Quv beats it hands down in almost every way, and that's a free ship you can get for ranking up. The Vo'Quv still comes out on top even over the Recluse as far as hangar pets, the only thing that tops the BoP is the Fer'Jai, which is also a KDF exclusive.
Ok Cryptic - one of the Guys screaming at the top of his keyboard that giving this combo to the Feds would be a "Gmae-Breaking" bad idea is now admitting this is a "stupid" thing to give to KDF players as well.
So now we have KDF hardcore players and PvPers(Roach) saying this is a bad idea for both factions to have.

He has a good point with that though. You're only encouraging Cryptic to come out with these uberpacks.

Even if a Fed ship is spec'd to the max with insulators I don't think there is any way to keep up with your powers being drained off.
Of course you can actually now get both lol.
For KDF: Adapted MACO shield, Honor Guard Engine, Honor Guard Deflector, Plasmonic Leech Console.
Looks like KDF are getting a nice science ship setup at least.

Personally I dont think MACO + Plasmonic Leech is equal to Honor Guard + No Plasmonic Leech.
Maybe its just me.
Even Roach(Bitemepwe) the defacto KDF Veteren on the forums has admitted that the MACO+plasmonic leech should be for no-one FED or KDF.
I can only say cudo's for him being consistent - because he was crying at the top of his keyboard when there was just a rumor that the Feds would get this combo. Of course he is not making the same impassioned plea to the devs not to allow this MASSIVE over-powered advantage to the KDF as he was when it was possibly going to the Feds - but hey it's something.
If the top semi-reasonable KDF players are saying this combo for the KDF is a bad idea then you know the Dev's should pay attention.
The maco shield could use a nerf though, it would make other builds more attractive and it would compensate a bit the ludicrous easiness of pve.
