Escorts: Omega, Maco, Borg, Aegis?

I apologize if this has been already covered, but I was wondering with Season 7 almost upon us, which space set or combo do ppl feel is the best for a Tac/Escort? I know they may yet adjust some stats on one or more of these sets, but im trying to figure out which set to complete before S7. Im currently using the 3 piece Borg + Maco XII shield, but we all know thats not going to be viable soon. Any input would be greatly appreciated.

    If possible, get all sets before season 7 :) can't go wrong with this advice :o

    Probably Omega or all Borg.

    i just got my last proto drop to do this! :D

    now i have borg, omega and maco. but still im not sure which i will stick with in s7.

    Mix your sets.

    For the longest time, I was using MACO shields and deflector with an Omega engine.


    Now, I'm using MACO shield and deflector with an Advanced Fleet Hyper-Impulse Engine [turn]x3 [spd].

    This past weekend, I went ahead and got a full Omega set MK XII and a MACO engine MK XII, just because I had so much prototype tech.

    Yup, get them all even if you have to settle for the vet ones from the store.

    Just make sure to take an escort to cover for your fail pug teammates who can't even outdamage a sci torpboat like mine in my last pug. :eek:

    With the changes on the borg set, the fleet sets are a lot more interesting to use now. Omega 2 set with a fleet hyper engine, or resilient shield etc.
