Reasonable Request for Rep System Changes

brokenmirror2012brokenmirror2012 Member Posts: 0 Arc User
Ok, now that im looking at it it seems like ALOT of dilithium, And it just seems like u /copyed the Fleet system.

Now Here are my sugjestions to make it less painful...

1. Turn it into a Fleet branch so fleet members share the same System or maybe each fleet member somewhat shares some of their progression making fleet STFing very effective which will encoruage fleets to work together.
2. Account wide. Or Semi Account Wide Maybe for every char you get up your entire account gets said boost. Like my Main becomes Lvl 2. The rest of my account becomes lvl 1. My 2nd char gets lvl 3 the rest of my chars, lvl 2, then 3rd char lvl 4, rest lvl 3, 4th lvl 5 rest lvl 4. So if i level 5 chars up in rep exponentialy, i will only have to lvl ONE level for all my other chars.

Reputation is all about your character's reputation with certain factions so any help from fleet members defeats the purpose. The Fleet Advancement system is so your fleet can work together to get advanced equipment and services. Also since its your character's reputation and not your account's reputation, then it being account wide also defeats the purpose.

Yes but the point is, This blows for everyone who has more then 3 chars. I have 8 VAs. Which will end up costing a very very large fortune to get up. Cryptic shoudl realize the ppl who have more chars are more likely to buy stuff from teh c-store, we need more services, cryptic should adjust accordingly.

And fleet kind of makes sense, if an american goes somewhere and makes a bad impression to a country, that contry will chnage its disposition of america in small ways. You still Represent your fleet, Your actions change how someone thinks of who u openly represet in small ways. If a fleet makes a good impression, people will think maybe more of X fleet is good like that, or a team of 5 fleeties makes a bad impression, the other fleet may think more of this fleet is like that.

There's nothing preventing you from setting up a bunch of alts whose sole purpose is to farm. Its a tactic used in almost every MMO.

The simple fact is that the devs have been stating that the Fleet Holdings are a group effort and the Reputation system is a personal effort. Therefore, the project requirements and cooldowns have been adjusted accordingly. With it taking a day and a half, people can work on one character one day and another character the other day.

That's nice spin for time gating.

The Devs want you to actually play the game. If you could max out the system in 5 hours, it would defeat the purpose.

It's an MMO.... What were you expecting? new 1-hour story missions on a weekly basis? They'd need to double the size of the dev team for that.

They would need to do it again. Perhaps a couple of times. The STO team is what? 40-60 people? WoW has a team of 200+ and not even they can pull that off.

I would be okay with them allowing STF accolades granting OMEGA Rep. That way those of us who have done the bloody things won't have to start from the bottom rung. There is a thread here if you agree.

Or how about something similar to what they did with the dilithium conversion. It doesn't have to be a bridge officer, but could be some other cool item. The "I did hundreds of STFs before Season 7 and all I got was this lousy T-shirt" T-shirt could work.

Except that WoW has tons of new content with each expansion, creates a whole new end-game basically.

    I even thought of ANother.
MAKE REP SYSTEM BASED OFF ACTUAL MISSIONS

Why do i have to just grind dil and grind dil and grind dil and grind dil.

LINK TEH REP SYSTEM TO STFS!

DO an STF gain rep, Kill a Borg boss gain rep, Beat an opt Gain rep. None of this Put dil in wait 2 days

put dil in wait 2 days
put dil in wait 2 days
put dil in wait 2 days
put dil in wait 2 days
put dil in wait 2 days
put dil in wait 2 days
put dil in wait 2 days
put dil in wait 2 days
put dil in wait 2 days
put dil in wait 2 days
put dil in wait 2 days
put dil in wait 2 days
put dil in wait 2 days
put dil in wait 2 days
put dil in wait 2 days
put dil in wait 2 days
put dil in wait 2 days
put dil in wait 2 days
put dil in wait 2 days
put dil in wait 2 days
put dil in wait 2 days
put dil in wait 2 days
put dil in wait 2 days
put dil in wait 2 days
put dil in wait 2 days

GRATZ U can now get a SET! Hurray

    Opposed to...
put dil in wait 2 days
    Do STFs Gain rep
Put dil, do STFs gain rep
    Dil/STF
    Dil/STF
    Dil/STF

GRatz u have a set now in 1/3 the time because u grinded STFs while doing the dil stuff!

Repsystems should be linked to actual missions not just that disgrace of a fleet starbase building system

Did some of the Romulan item missions, i find the Items to Expensive, ok the Scorpion is not Consumable but the Security Guards are and for nearly 2 Days, and the Cost of 5 Common(or UNcommon) Doffs its just to expensive, let alone the Dilithium Costs.

I thought the Project unlocks the Items in the Store, but as it is you have to run the Same Project again and again if you want to have Consumable Items.

Just be patient and grind more, then you'll be able to have your fun.

Also, how many of the security escort does that give you? If it's a stack then it might be worth it.

Well if it was a true personal effort per se, I honestly would not have any issues with grinding at all. However it is not a true personal effort but a character-specific personal effort. That is where I have the issue.

Its a 10/10 usable item and you get 2 Reman Elite Guards that will help you.

I don't see the issue here. If you have five characters say on the fed side, you still have to collect five-times the resources to rank them up. You are still playing the game, but you have a choice in how you play the game. You have the freedom to play your best set-up or favorite character or even switch for different groups, i.e. I'll run Medic this time....I'll run Fabrication Engy this time... Right now you are penalized and your group may be penalized as well.

This is how Factions work in many other games, not this grind the same missions stuff. The reason it is what it is, is simply because no one ever asked the community what they would like. No poll, no collecting feedback, just a, "We think it should be only this way if you don't like it...".

It is not the bugs, the lack of content, the broken and base systems in dire need of fixing, or the paywalls that will kill this game, it is the dictatorial stance taken in most of the games development. There are a few devs and cases where this is not the norm and those devs and cases are embraced by the community (i.e. the customers).

i like the new rep system but the one draw back is that when u get it on a countdown it takes 1 day 16 hrs to complete and u need 5000 respt to get tier 1 in ether omega or romulin wich if i did math right means it will take 5 days to get tier 1 i would like to see countdown lest be fixed where u dont have to grind for 4 months just to get all tiers
