There will be new Klingon specific content in Season 8 along with a bunch of other stuff.
I leave this here without comment. I will revisit this thread upon the launch of Season 8 to add comments.

Create a new thread come Season 8, link back to this one which has that original quote preserved, discussion to be had in new thread until locked by a moderator because there won't be any new KDF content?

You could upgrade the well from targ poo to big ornate iron spikes at the bottom at tier 2, and cap out tier 3 with sharks with lazers on their heads.
and after reading this I have little hope for the KDF in STO... that is of course if we actually look at all of the broken promises made in the past by dastahl

Beside this Cryptic is too busy making new Fed C-Store goodies and Season 7 Fed only cotent to even think about KDF.
When they go back and start KDF at rank 1 again, THAT will be new KDF content. Emabasy dilithium sinks doesn't count. Omega store doesn't count. They involve the KDF faction, so they are KDF content, right? Nope.
This is kind of how i feel. To be honest, i hate playing as the KDF. I like the ships and how battle cloak works (i think that's how normal cloak should work like it does in canon) but over all, the KDF just isn't my faction of choice. With that said though i've been here since closed beta and i've read/heard a lot of the promises and such for the KDF, and to be fair they're being screwed. It's sad that someone has all the quotes, all the proof, and yet we're still being told so many things that never will happen. I've been a lifer since launch on both CO and STO, so i'm used to Cryptic's empty lies and hollow promises, but at the same time it disappoints me that they'd rather go with lockboxes and doff packs than actual quality content that people would actually want to toss money at them for.
I fully believe that if they've been saying it, they should be doing it. Either that or they should just generalize everything mission wise and open up the system to let people form their own factions. Maquis, romulans, borg, KDF and fed. Now that would lead to some interesting PVP.
Unless dstahl gives specifics, read it as "we may possibly kind of want to if all the stars align"
Been playing STO since Open Beta, and have never regarded anything as worse than 'meh', if only due to personal standards.
I love what existing KDF content we have recieved. I even like Alpha.
Though it is time to work toward our completion so the faction has a good story that ties it to STO and more options of gameplay enhancement for the fans of the races involved.
A level One start is good as is more mid-level storyline, more costume options, fleet ships, etc, etc.

He is back again as KDF enemy.
He just enjoys kicking the KDF antpile to watch us scurry and TRIBBLE us off.
Sad thing is he may be closer to the truth than we care to accept.
The Devs have done nothing to further the war on the KDF side and very little to promote the war on the fed side.
We KDF fans have had our factional difference sold off to the highest bidder, the war ignored unless it had something for the feds, scant content, absolutely no direction or focus and impossed peace has even been thrust upon us without good reasoning or even a build up as to why.

If could I would point a huge target on his ship so every KDF shop would kill him on sight.
If you are refering to me would that target apply to my 6 KDF toons as well? I better make it easier and re-name them.
Roach is more correct - I am kicking the ant pile a little - but not to make KDF players angry - just waking up to current reality.
While I was greatly impressed with Mr Stahls general performance in his last blog I do not believe one word that he said about season 8 being KDF focased. It's just not "economically viable" to use one of his earlier quotes why they don't want to make any more c-store KDF ships.
By having Fed only Characters able to purchase and use KDF ships(and vise versa) it will greatly increase the player base able to purchase klingon ships and then - only then will they become "economically viable" to produce new ones.
personally I want a Klingon style sci ship - the lock-box one without a cloak was just a let-down for me. I would like one that would be a Fleet Vor'cha like hybrid sci ship.
Sorry, I refuse to trust that guy on anything he says any more, instead I will simply do as he requests and look at his actions. Doing so makes it abundantly clear that KDF (and for that matter PvP) specific content will never be a priority while he is in charge of STO and that means Cryptic / PWE will never again see my credit card details.
Instead, I'm putting my faith here - http://www.robertsspaceindustries.com/star-citizen/ - along with my money, I'll be pledging the equivalent of an STO lifetime subscription in financial terms because I believe Chris Roberts when he says he intends on doing something, can no longer say that of Cryptic.

You're welcome, although he is straying away from referring to it as an MMO. It is online multi player in a persistent universe thought - sounds pretty MMO like to me.
Still at the conceptual stage though at the moment, looking to raise the funds. I'm hoping it comes sooner than the two years they are estimating though...

Does it make sense to make ships for the KDF at this time considering where we're at right now?
I've pledged to Star Citizen, but its at least two years away it seems and I don't see it taking over STO as its very much made in the awesome Wing Commander/Privateer style. Not really an MMO, but yet it is as they seem to be trying to cover every base from a gaming point of view. Cannot wait for it either!
Excatly this is the opinion I've reached too.
There WAS so much potential in STO, but it was wasted on the Federation only.
I hope in 2-5 years another company will take up the Star Trek IP and make another MMO that time with a decent multifaction experience. Cryptic obviously failed miserably on that while still telling us to stay as we might get some new stuff.
Sorry if this sounds do negativ, but I'm fed up with Cryptics Federation gets new toys only stance.
But pwe is going commited to the kdf.

Even the village idiot can figure that out before cryptic can. That isn't saying cryptic is dumb, but its saying that cryptic is looking at other metrics to get there vision.
Look at all the story content In The past two years.
One fe series and "Alpha". They just don't have the heart to make content like that.
So they make starbases and repeatable content that people "accept".
The entire point to f2p is to accept that you are going to get 90 percent of the people mad and leave. But it doesn't matter unless you have that same number of new players. Rinse repeat.
