I've only seen this since the first S7 patch on Tribble (doesn't happen on Holodeck), and ironically, performance is noticeably better on tribble, in terms of much less "culling" of GFX in intensive scenes, more constant framerates etc etc
before I post the error, my specs are as follows;
AMD 1090t OC to 4.2GHz
1TB western digital black HDD
8GB gSkill RAM
nVidia GTX580 (1.5GB model by Inno3D, running drivers 306.97 WHQL)
running at 1080p, with most settings at max, except for things like physical debris amounts (around 50), bloom around 200% things like that. Nearly everything else is at max, and I am rendering in DX11
clicky
Apologies if this has already been posted before,
Many thanks in advance

I tried on dx9 and dx11 mode and it doesnt seem to be caused by that.
did you hear back from them?
tribble screws everything up launcher breaks everytime had to rererereinstall game client
not a typo 4 times there will be issues on forums come launch day when everyone patches
atleast I was able to download a more updated version than 2 year old cd
On Tribble same problem how ever it's when I beam in "Into The Hive" can't see we're I'm going so I was useless to the team ;(. Hope I don't have the same problem when it goes to live this week.
just to let you know this has now transferred to holodeck with the s7 build, and the build from yesterday also has it, exact same message,
also, could you tell the ships guys if they don't know, that the borg tac cubes have loads of black or missing textures in dx11 ;
clicky
Tac cubes are fine ,problem is that textures are not loading or if you get them they are in low quality.
EDIT: Noticing a few missing textures that appear only on mouse over.
To the Devs I know you have a lot on your plate with new content upcoming and other bugs. Can we get better DX11 support? This game would look amazing on a fully integrated DX11 option taking advantage of tesselation and other features DX11 offers.
System Specs as follows:
Windows 8 Pro x64
Intel Core i7 980X oc'd to 4.4 GHz
2x GTX 580 SLI
6GB Corsair Dominator RAM
EVGA Classified 3 X58 MB
Corsair AX 1200w PSU
NOTE: Current Nvidia 310 drivers are not playing nice I rolled back to 306.97
My hardware specs:
Windows 7 64bit
Intel C2D E 8400 (2x3.0 GHz)
GeForce GTX 460 (running STO in DX 11 mode)
4 GB DDR 2-800 Ram
DX11 and maximum settings in game.
CPU: Intel i5 3570K, MOBO: Asrock Z77 Pro 4 (v1.70), RAM: 2x4 GB Corsair Vengeance Low Profile 1.35v, SSD: OCZ RevoDrive 3 120 GB, GPU: EVGA Nvidia GTX 560 TI FPB (314.22 WHQL), OS: W8 Pro x64
Might be useful forwarding the file to tech support, so I'm gonna do that now.
I was messing with options and clicked the DX 11 one. *
****in the options screen the information for this video setting is so truncated that you cant tell if you are set to DX9 or DX11 anyway ****
When I restarted the game so the options would take effect I got a "Pixel Shader" error message at the bottom of the log in screen
And generally, It seemed to me that the game was deciding what my video settings should be and most options seemed to do nothing. Quality was stuck at a certain point. My card was bought to play the newer graphics intensive games like Skyrim so it should be able to handle STO. I could pretty much play on extremely high settings on 2 other lesser cards. But now the game seems to have decided that my card is crappy and just kind of sticks on those settings.
I also get the pixel shader stuff + I can no longer use any AA (not via ingame setting and now by forcing it through the catalyst settings)
the game looks like playing a 15 year old game on my radeon r9 280x
Originally i thought its because of the latest omega drivers but also completely deinstalling them and installing the original drivers did not solve the problems
so with other words... pretty much since DR there is this pixelshader TRIBBLE and no working MSAA anymore
it does not matter if I try it with dx9 or dx11 settings... there is absolutely no difference
I don't think it is a DX9 vs. DX11 thing. I think it is just bad coding.
