Can we PLEASE have events NOT involving Queues?

If you have a group of Friends/Fleetmates you run with - you can always just create a private instance. They did say there was a new 'Adventure Zone' (like the Borg Defera Invasion and the Nukara zones) - but guiven STO Event content requires teams, I don't see the queue system going away. Again, want to call out to friends/others in chat and form your own group? Craete a private queue and have at it.

I also hope there is some new, (old fasioned) story mission content somewhere in Season 7 thiough (although they have said FEs will be returning come Season 8.)

    • Added buttons for "Open in Journal" and "Turn In".
    • The "Turn In" button will replace the transwarp button.

So ugh... what happens to the Transwarp button? Weren't the tray powers removed?

Why would you want to get rid of the queues?

You want to go back to the days of "LFG INFECTED GROUND LAST BOSS ROOM" spammed across the chat window?

An early build is an understatement. With less than 5 minutes in a Into the Hive on elite started, I have 2 GameClient.exe crashes! These also happened to some of my team and returning to the instance just left us stuck behind a forcefield at the beginning that would not lower to let us back in. Eventually, everyone just quit! How disappoint! :(

    Foundry:
    • A new behavior has been added for NPC Groups: Patrols!
      • You can place points for the groups to patrol to and around.
    • A new NPC Group has been added for enemy encounters: Mugato
    • There are now error messages for searching and selling on the exchange, mailing items, and accessing the dilithium exchange that say "You cannot access this while previewing a mission in the Foundry."
    • Added messaging to PvP and PvE queues while in Foundry preview that indicates that they are disabled.

There is no Patrol behaviour in this version

However we can Set NPC Contacts and Groups from Hidden -> Visible -> Hidden.. thank you :-D

If you get a crash, please give us the error number that displays in Cryptic's error handling program.

    Thanks.

    Known Issues:
    • Deploying hangar pets causes all power levels to increase.
      • This is not working as intended.
    • In the Mine Trap event, broken doors do not draw if you have low graphics.
    • Cutscenes and audio for the new content are still works-in-progress.
    • Foundry: Pop-up dialogs are being counted as Objectives.
    • Some NPCs you are escorting may follow a little too closely to you.
      • They seem to have forgotten the concept of "personal space".
    • Events and STFs accessed through the PVE Queues may not yet grant you the proper rewards upon completion.
    • When Borg adapt to your weapons, the 'Adapted' text is upside-down.

You forgot "you can't actually access the Tau Dewa Sector" in your "Known Issues"

I'll update the patch notes. Looks like we were both misinformed about patrols. ;) (Look for them in the next Tribble build, though.)

The mugato squads don't seem to work.

i selected a few squads to have a look, captain 1, captain 3 and ensign and lt 1 and when they run up to your character they just disappeared (occasionally one would stay and fight).

What if the crash handling program, that launches itself after you crash (right? the little pop up window), closes itself seconds after opening, before you had a chance to input any information into it?

Content aside, I'm really pleased to see some age-old improvements to the UI such as double click banking and rewards after mission accept. Nice job Cryptic.

Is that happening with any of the other NPC Groups? They were definitely fighting me when I tested them...

You can get client crashes if you updated the game while playing it on holodeck. Is that what you did?

actually i was just in Tribble, and what they're referring to about the transwarp button and hail contact, is in the mission tracker window, not by the map

OH! I get it now. Thanks! Still at work so I couldn't check it out myself. I love that little trans-warp button by the map, I'd buy the person who thought of that a beer right now if I could... If they'd let me visit....

    • Duty Officer UI updates:
      • Only the Traits and Species filters are shown on the Brig and Passenger lists, since the others are superfluous.

Can we get the Quality filter back? I found it useful to look at only my common prisoners, or only my rare prisoners (usually the ones for Dominion Prisoner assignments). For some assignments, I don't even want to count my non-common prisoners as options for them, and like to be able to see how many available, non-rare prisoners I have at a glance.
    • Chat window updates:
      • Pressing enter to select auto-fill items from the chat entry field will now complete the line it is trying to auto-fill.

If when the auto-fill item list pops up you press the Up arrow, to start at the bottom of the list, it instead pops up to the top regardless.

Example: Begin typing /screen (for /screenshot_ui_jpg) and the list will show up. If you press down once, it'll highlight the top choice, press down again, it'll move to the second, and so on. This is good. But begin typing /screen, then press up once. It will briefly highlight the bottom choice (the one I want), then immediately go back to the top choice (/screen) and I am forced to press up twice more just to reach the first item on the bottom of the list.

What? Launching fighters means more room for power right?

    Thats how it works right?

And preytell, how is that any different than right now with the STF queues? Isn't that how people find groups for the Elite STFs? Or people on DS9 and ESD LFGs to do STFs (even in Normal queues).

New Queues, there really isn't anykind of socialzing. And practically the only conversation is regarding the STF itself or it going into insults where people are called "n00b" or other degrading comments.

Whereas the older STFs, people actually got to know one another (which friendships still remaining strong today).

If I had to choose, I pick old STFs over the new one, I'll lick the old STFs anyday of the week.

Then get your group together via the chat system and make your own private instance and run it. Nothing in the current (or future Season 7 setup) is preventing you from doing justn that. I run STFs a lot; and I can count on one hand, the number of times I queued up in a Public queue to do one.

"All standard commodities can now be purchased in stacks of 100"

Can we add another 0 to this or perhaps just make it a flat 250 (what they stack to in your inventory)???

    Thanks.

It doesn't generate an error number. All I got was, The GameClent.exe has stopped working. When I click, close program, there is no error report option, no "Oops", etc. It doesn't even ask me to force verify. However... I do notice on the load screen before getting the character screen that I get a warning in very small text in the bottom left-hand corner about something to do with shadowning. It disappears too fast to read.

    UI:
    • Improved comparative tooltips for ship weapons.
      • It will now try to compare weapons based on what type they are, eg. Beams vs. beams.
    • Added Shield Regen Rate to ship status window.
      • Note that this only works while in space.

    Tears of joy.

Maybe one day, we will get shield resistance values in the UI as well.

Don't you think I do that already? Just that sometimes it's nice to do things outside of queues. Because if the game is nothing but queued events, then whats the reason to even leave Earth? This is Star Trek, where we go where "no man has gone before".

As for PuGs...... best not say anything.

Regarding the color coded boffs in the U window.
It is a nice to see what quality your slotted boffs have. However the way chosen looks very amateur. Plus it is not actually needed in the list. It should be relocated into the individual boff screens i think. If it has to stay in the list, i think a better way would be a simple small color dot in the lower right of the name tap. Much less visual offensive.

While this feature is pure awesomeness and i was really waiting for that for a long time... could you guys take this opportunity to also fix the pvp logoff-before-death problem ?

Because having this command makes it actually easier/faster for people exploiting logout to avoid deaths in pvp, so what we need here is some mechanic that keeps people 15 seconds longer in the game after logging/disconnecting if they did so while under red alert.

Is there any chance that you guys could fix the broken Account Bank access on the Belfast (Defiant) style bridge? Thank you.

bad AI is nothing new, and this one in particular i have reported years ago.
nice that you finally noticed this problem.

in particular in shooter mode, since i remember some NPCs, often even your own BOffs suddenly think their default position is right behind you and walk right into your screen when you stop moving.

Which was one of my initial complaints when you introduced shooter mode, was not fixed, now you notice.

One step closer to making shooter mode something that is actual usable = yay
