...wouldn't it be cool to have audio emotes during space battles / STFs, of space chatter between ships? Like in First contact when the Enterprise Boffs (Lol) are listening to the fleet chatter whilst they engage the Borg.
Simply select the emoticon, like when on the ground, and select "I'm taking command of the fleet, fire on these coordinates...." and the audio clip / voice acted script will play to everyone.
Oooh ooh, even make them applicable like "All ships: reduce all nanite generators to 10%" and "Any science ship in the area, Intercept those Nanite Spheres!"
Um... you do realize they already have this, it is called Team Chat. The only difference is that it is text and not voice. You can send any message you want to the entire team, or Private Message individual team members.

I want a visual one where on /emote xxxxx my ship dpews canible tribbles in space from all openings.
The Firework vet reward could be considered as an emote. I would like the Kolvoord Starburst added to the game. Have your ship launch a bunch of shuttles that perform this maneuver, then docks with your ship when done.
you could also have "vent warp plasma" (causing a cloud/stream of glowing gas to be ejected out of your warp drive locations) and "Eject Warp Core" (causing a small object to be ejected out of the bottom of your ship then explode in a purely aesthetic fashion).
getting more into completely new territory, you could have things like "test shields" which cause the entire shield bubble to glow as if struck for a few seconds.
you could also have purely aesthetic (as in, no combat or permanent effect) options like "Self destruct" (which would cause the ship to go through a 'destruction' effect only to appear seconds later, with the game ignoring the whole thing in terms of play), or "warp out" where the ship looks like it went to warp (complete with glowing nacelles and the elongation and vanishing in a burst of light), without actually going anywhere.
space emotes would help encourage the use of space zones with no mission content (like wolf 359)as social zones, where they could Roleplay space side adventures while using visual components.

No.
The 'WE'RE NOT GOING TO MAKE IT!' spam is horrific enough in the freakin' fleet stuff. I would literally kill myself if people could actually control that stuff.

Connected to this, I'd love it if you could choose different 'go to warp' animations for your ship - I'd be totally rocking the warp effect from TMP: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=G-cOsbIv2iA

R.I.P
Your ship going to grow an arm to point stuff out?
the Crimson Force Field ploy of geordi's for example could be a fun one.
