Well, it is a huge pain when Admiral Quinn is standing in the doorway of Club 47 during the tour event. Every instance this morning seemed to have him somewhere in the way-on the dance floor, standing in the transporter room door, bar door, next to Kim, etc.

Other than that, it's funny for a while, I guess. :)

I don't know how to PM him anymore. I could probably send a message to his non-dev account.

Tell him to look at ALL the Klingon ships' transwarp powers from all Klingon ships released in the last 10 months. Especially shuttles, fleet retrofits, and the freebie Bortas. That's his culprit.

I'd PM him if I knew how. Does he have a twitter?

It has nothing to do with the ships. If a dev wants to know how they should PM me in game at @steveangelis and no I won't tell any non dev.

It's not Transwarp Powers, else it wouldn't be an isolated incident. Because in the past when there was bugged Transwarps with new KDF ships, it was very noticable and Cryptic was quick to fix.

    Hi Captains,

We're working on a solution and hope to have it in a patch very soon. Regarding transwarp, even if they got in ESD space, they wouldn't see a "beam down" button unless they were a Fed toon. We've checked transwarp and didn't see anything but "to Qo'noS".

    Cheers,

If memory serves I think in ESD the 'contacts' are tied to their normal place not the actors body. I may be wrong.

That said I want to be around when one of these happen one day :D

Separate note, let's make this a PVP thing, a scenario. Raid the first city/ESD as a Player vs Player scenario, instanced so it doesn't affect day to day players.

    I agree with this.

Nope it's not related to transwarp, it's something else taking you directly to ESD without going to sol.

I think this is hilarious. Such "raids" should form a permanent feature of the game. I can't wait to raid the Klingon homeworld ;-)

    LOVE IT!

I checked Quinn and you do need to find Quinn in order to talk to him. I noted the same thing with one of the equipment vendors(who had been relocated to the exchange)

Kill Quinn is funny! You have my vote to be a permanent feature of the game!

Not sure if the folks at Subspace Radio Chat was pulling my leg but they said this exploit is happening because a KDF Player has the Marauder status and can pay 150,000 Energy Credits to board the station. Then Admiral Quinn notices you and chases you til either you die or leave the social map!

Be nice if we could raid enemy capital cities, kill keynote NPCs, and get an achievement while at it.

agreed, the war storyline is all 7 kinds of stupid thanks to the 2800 FE and cross faction teams.

I'm not saying to stop FE like the 2800 or cross faction teaming lets stop pretending theres a war going on:D

Cryptic's been sitting on tickets with the information on this 'feature' for at least a year. It's taken some fun antics to raise awareness of this issue though.

So it seems that Klingons are randomly appearing on the base and attacking NPC's.

Are these player controlled KDF members or NPCs that, like the Wells class last month, are doing something they're meant to do but not meant to do YET?

And if it is a player raid, how are they doing it?

Instanced would just create another pvp queue option. Still the idea is enticing enough if the objectives are well done this will get a lot of replay. There would need to be appropriate goodies for the victorious team.

Luckily, when it happens it's usually only in one instance. These days most social zones have mutliple instances, so you can change to get away from one that's missing NPCs.

This happened just the other day and it affected ALL INSTANCES. I was that there was a guy exploiting a bug in Quinn (I won't tell how.) There are some reports that Klingons are doing this - he was NOT KLINGON (wearing uniforms only available to the Fed chars) and was exploiting a bug in the name of showing Cryptic that he was mad that they had not fix this problem... I told him to just reporting and not ruin everyone elses fun. He refuses to stop, so I reported him to Cryptic, hopefully they will "fix" the problem with him.

Just because there is a bug, if you really love the game, don't exploit it, otherwise leave. You just confuse new players and make others mad. You may say "So what they get mad...?" or "so what is they are confused for a while...?" If this causes players to stop continuing playing STO, this can cause a critical loss of revenue and affect the future of STO.

Yes there are bugs (ALL software has bugs) that may have been there for too long, but don't make the problem worse! If I had been a new player and figured that this is the kind of people that play STO... I might not want to come back. Fortunately I have been playing for a while and have not seen to much of this behavior, so I continue.
