So let's go back to the civil part of the discussion, folks.
Whoa. Hey, I created this thread. I also asked people to try work together to fix it and provide proof for the devs to do a look see. Now because we took the initiative to recommend an in game fix shouldn't be interpreted as a vindictive notion.
Now once again, if you don't do anything about it, the Devs will interpret this thread as untenable like a lot of the other bugs in this game people prefer to be upset about rather than help fix. Help fix, or go home.
We respect you fellas enough to take your word of the existence of this bug despite testing and finding nothing. Furthermore offering an in game fix. I think we did our due diligence when it comes to trying to satisfy your disgruntlement. Now it's time for you to prove this bug's existence to the devs so they sort it out. Otherwise, you can continue to be upset and try to tarnish our fleet name all you want.
At the end of the day, this post and thread will depict one thing should you decide to take that road. You accept that there is no bug, and did nothing about and are upset because you do not know how to counter SS. All other levies aside, provide proof that's all.
I didn't accuse you of anything. I said if your fleet was actually logging when they saw their tray was locked up they were aware of the bug and were using it as an exploit. If you aren't then you need to learn to listen to people that tell you it does indeed happen. It happens enough that a fair portion of the community knows how to fix it without suiciding into the other team. I was told by a team mate how to fix it after I spent some time flying around with no guns and no team heals. S/He'd seen it a few times before.
Scramble sensors in PVP is nothing new to me, that glitch was that time. Essentially saying "prove it" and the implied "learn 2 play" is more than a bit condescending there.
Hmm. My fault? I flamed a bit in an Arena about a sci-spam team of 2 non-critz and 3 other non-critz; using LOTS of scramble, no AMS though. I left the match (with 14 on the scoreboard, didn't want that dirty, scrambled dilithium anyway) and then bailed another time when I saw that team in my match again.
That stuff is a personal preference for playing- In RP we don't want to use the SNB DOFFs and will take them off if agreed to- we sometimes use SS (never AMS)- we look for quality combat, not teams full of sci spam or drain carriers that are a pain in the TRIBBLE to play against. But there is a perception among us that some of the fleets out there just want to win at all costs and put their gimmicky stuff all over their ships- so we throw in the SNB DOFFs to compete. Yeah, we stack them high against some opponents, and use none at all against others or if agreed upon before mission start.
Being accused of anything that's not true is disconcerting. What's really dumb is being accused of SS/AMS spamming when maybe it shows up in a PUG, but not our Premades, and the accusers are known for pulling it out in a pinch as well. That's the real hypocrisy. We carry a copy of SS sometimes, but our habits don't revolve around it; at least there's a counter for it. We generally have something more desirable in those slots. A few points in sensors seems to handle the effect just fine......It's the 5 copies plus 5 AMS that is REALLY bad.
We'd like to be known for being helpful in PvP; we've come across fleet-mades with guys on voice that just haven't set the teams and builds up well and STOP the match to counsel and help them with knowledge and insights into team PvP. We want quality PvP, and since some things in the game aren't quite as perfectly balanced or working quite as intended doesn't mean we can't shed the BS and construct quality PvP matches with some rules in place. Some think PvP is the wild west, when that's really Ker'rat . Organized PvP matches can have grown people in them that desire a quality match and set up to do so- agree not to spam SS, cut down on the pets, take off the SNB DOFFs, whatever... Quality combat, not bugged-out, lagged-out, P2W TRIBBLE all over the place.
Next up- Trike Bombers...

Again, interpreting words as other words. "Prove it", does not mean or imply "learn to play". It means/implies, and only means/implies prove that SS is causing the bug. And in these terms the Devs need that proof in order to act on fixing the issue that is bothering you. Otherwise, the Devs aren't doing anyone a favor with no facts. We have not been effected by the scramble sensors bug for a few months now. Which is why out of courtesy we are willing to test it now despite not being effected by it. It was yesterday I made the invitation for a cooperative effort to find, fraps, then submit it on here. Nobody sent me mail a tell, to tried to deal with the issue.
I don't know about you, but I'm finding this rather cumbersome to be trying to help fix a problem for you when it doesn't even effect or even exist for us, while at the same time be pointed at and bombarded.
At this point I'm going to be pragmatic and say, you win this trolling session. If there truly is a bug, then come see us about it and we can work together to provide proof FOR YOU to the Devs to review and fix. Otherwise, the existence once again, of this thread depicts two things.
A) If there is a bug, it was neglected to be found then reported, by those same people who are effected by it.
If there is no bug, this is an elaborate thread about this mysterious bug that nobody seems to be able to find.
Either case A or B, the result is the same. Nothing will be done about it. So live with it, or do something about rather than be upset on a forum.
