Problem with mission

Hello there, I am having a problem with the Night of the Comet mission. I kill the klingon ships that are attacking me and then i sart shooting the asteroid after its health reaches zero it does not explode in small fragments but it vanishes! Is this normal or is it a bug??

    There's a couple of waves of KDF ships. You need to defeat the group when you first beam up, then you need to defeat the Kang, and then you can try and defeat the comet. If you attempt to destroy the comet before defeating the Kang it won't complete. That's been my experience, anyway.
    STO is about my Liberated Borg Federation Captain with his Breen 1st Officer, Jem'Hadar Tactical Officer, Liberated Borg Engineering Officer, Android Ops Officer, Photonic Science Officer, Gorn Science Officer, and Reman Medical Officer jumping into their Jem'Hadar Carrier and flying off to do missions for the new Romulan Empire. But for some players allowing a T5 Connie to be used breaks the canon in the game.

    It is bugged.

    Loads of people are having trouble They were talking about it in zone chat.

    You can destroy the comet first, or the Klingon ships first. It makes no difference. Once you destroy the comet it simply vanishes.

    I submitted a ticket several hours ago, but with the usual service I would imagine that it'd be about a week before it was read and then several weeks after until it was patched.

    No one can progress past that episode right now. Fun times.
