what would be the best lay out for this type of escort. I was in one of the war zones with my crusier and a KDF ship was powerful and took out my shilds fast. I want to use my defient refit and I want to arm it as best as possible can anyone help with this question.
Commander Tac: tactical Team 1 / attack Pattern Beta 1 / Omega 1 / Omega 3
Lt. Commander Tac: Tactical Team 1 / cannon Rapid Fire 1 / Rapid Fire 2
EnsignTac: Torpedo High Yield Lt. Eng: emergency Power to shields 1 / emergengy Power to shields 2 Lt. Sci: science Team 1 / Hazzard emitters 2
Deflektor and Engines: Borg (you have to to ~5 Elite STfs- toget them)
Shield: M.A.C.O (do some "infected" runs) but any resilent shield with [Cap] will do.
Weapons: 1 Quantum Torpedo, 3x DHC 4x turret (of course all of the same energy type, best you can get)
Devices: Engine Battery, Subspace Field Modulator (reward fro the mission "skirmish")
Konsoles
Tac: 4x Energy type console
Sci: 2x Field Generator
Eng: Borg Console (mission reward), Sif generator, cloaking device
2-3 projektile weapon officer Doff
2-3 shield distribution officer Doff
(use best avaible. You can start with withe/green, but at the end they should be purple)
eergy setting 100/50/25/25
-> use a keybind. Lay Beta1/Omega1/Omega3/CRF1/CRF2/EPTS1/EPTS2/THY1 on the same button. So your anttention can go almost completlyto the game, as most of your buffs rotate "automatic" (just hit your keybind button every 1-2seconds).
If you come under fire use Tac team to distribute shields, sciteam for instant shieldheal.
manually use your captains skills at opportunity (e.g. for alphas after decloaking)
Part 2 "a bit more work")
- Exchange the engine batteries for weapons batteries
- Exchange 1 DHC for a Dual Beam bank
- exchange beta1 for Beam overload 2
- remove THY1 from the keybind
- be sure that torpedos are NOT on autofire
Use your cloak to get close to the enemy, buff ( already activate THY ) decloak.
fire for some seconds until shield gets "red", than use BO2 to finish them quickly, use weapon battery to get back weapon power quick, release the torps.
-> needs a better timing and awareness, but can be very rewarding.
