    current build
    consoles:
    eng: 3xneutronium/2xRCS
    sci: 1x borg uni
tac: whatever your weap type x4 or x3 if torp incl.

Commander Eng: EpS/RSP1/RSP2/AB3 (last can be swapped)
    LT sci: HE1/HE2
    lt tac: TT1/CRF1
    ens uni: TB1 (sci) (swappable)
    LT com uni: TT!/TS2/CSV2

tractor beam to hold stuff in front being a cannon build, can be swapped, aceton beam 3 to reduce incoming damage. x2 HE to get rid of shield drains from borg and the occasional plasma fire with small resist and heal.

x2 TT because quite simply nothings better especially combined with RSP

you can cycle through all the heals, shield and hull and stay alive especially with the huge HP sink the bort has, combination of shield and hull tanking. BFI with 1 or 2 shield distro doffs, subspace modulator (device) also...she's pretty much indestructible.

HG shields and engines, borg deflector.

pick up the deuterium consumable from the daily along with engine and shield bats that rounds out device slots. she won't turn on a dime but just doing pve you don't have to, everything comes in a predictable fashion. just plan ahead and position yourself.

Well, I would post my build, but it's much more of a...'kill you now' kind of thing, and lacks of lot of survivability. It doesn't die, but it isn't going to last forever in a fight. At least that's how my tac one is.

I would like to mention though, a few things about the Bortasqu' in all it's forms:

Tactical has the only KDF ship with 5 tactical console slots (Jem'hader bug doesn't count), and the engineering is only one of two ships that has 5 engineering slots (the other being the fleet Negh'var).

Of the three, I'd say the science (Command version) is probably the best. Primarily because it has two science consoles, and the 4 engineering still. That means you can possibly put 2 Field Generators on if you want, and give up very little engineering.

I would like to mention though the Disruptor Autocannon is a very potent weapon if you use it right.
I remain empathetic to the concerns of my community, but do me a favor and lay off the god damn name calling and petty remarks. It will get you nowhere.
I must admit, respect points to Trendy for laying down the law like that.

    but for giggles......

    So a BortasQu (command), Fleet K'Tinga, Fleet Negh'var (or best yet a Fleet Corsair FDC w/siphon drones) with the Science Captain benefits running;

    Omega Deflector
    Omega Engines
    KHG Shields

(2*) Nuets (1) Borg console (1) Plasmonic leech
    (2*) Shield Emitter Amplifier
    (4*) Phaser consoles
    * as applicable to vessel choice

    (4) Phased-Tetryon beam banks (if availible) or Phaser beam arrays mk12 (accx3)
    (4) Phased-Tetryon turrets (if availible) or Phaser turrets (accx3)

    (2) SNB DOffs
    (1) Energy weapon DOff (crf/csv recharge)
    (1) Energy weapon DOff (bfaw/Bo recharge)
    (1) Sensor Scan DOff

BortasQu, Fl Negh'var or Fl K'T'inga
    LT: BFAW1 CSV1
    ENS: TT1
    COM: ET1 EPTS2 EPTS3 A2SIF3
    LTC: EPTA1 RSP1 EXTS2
    LT: TSS1 HE2

    Fleet Corsair
    LT: BFAW1 CSV1
    ENS: TSS1
    COM: ET1 EPTS2 EPTS3 A2SIF3
    LTC: EPTA1 RSP1 EXTS2
    LT: ST1 HE2

Benefits: SNB DOff procs, TetGlider, Sensor Analysis, Phaser procs (and possible tetryon procs), Sensor Scan DOff proc, limited healing.
    Drawbacks: low DPV output.
Just lumber into Combat and sow chaos?
