My STO 3D evening!

cosmoscolacosmoscola Member Posts: 0 Arc User
My evening right now:

Pulled up my couch to about a meter in front of my new 42" 3D tv set.
Home-theatre system is on, and a sweet-cold breeze is coming in from the balkony.
3D glasses are on my nose, and I?m enjoying every second of this. STO in 3D, here I come!
:D:D:D

I have the Acer 23" and just ordered Asus LED 27" monitor (3D Displays), I find that the weird AA filter that the game uses messes with the 3D. I was able to force true AA in the nvidia control panel to awesome results, but only if the game runs in true full screen which bites since I use a multi-display setup with game chat on pidgin on another screen.
Hi, my name is: Elim Garak, Former Cardassian Oppressor

LTS, here since...when did this game launch again? :D

His brain has probably turned to goo by now. We'll never get a report on it. :(

If not, his eyeballs probably have, and now he can't see the keyboard. :(

    LoL!
    Here it comes!
The depth was soooo awsome! Playing STFs in 3D is like playing all new STFs.
    REALLY nice!

On the minus side, I was a little to close to the Tv, so indeed my brains is a bit of a pile of goo today ;P

That sounded pretty awesome. As much as I love my computer, your setup sure beats my 16" laptop. :D

I will defenetly do this setup often! Also, the federation Starbase incursion in a dark room at night in 3D was almost scary. Hehe!

Then you need to do "What Lies Beneath" and see how scarey that is.

I've never noticed any 3D settings in the video settings of STO. Is this something new I've not noticed or did you just have your system convert 2D to 3D?

I just can't get in to 3D. Seriously the glasses just bother me too much, trying to wear them over my regular glasses.

But... I do love playing STO on my 52" Bravia

I once tried STO with a pair of Red/Cyan 3D glasses, and it made me want to puke.

No thanks! I would get a heartattack i think.
I also have glasses, but I just wear both. Hate it, but you do what you gotta do...
    It was worth it!
