MACO/BORG Hybrid vs Full MACO

MACO in PVP? I heard a lot of good things about it's survivability. I also heard that a lot of people run Borg shields/engine with MACO shields. The question is has there been some testing or spreadsheet that compares in detail the resists/regen of the shields/hull (procs). Bottom line is I'd like to check what the responses are, if Full MACO is better for pvp or Hybrid MACO/BORG. I am an ENG in Assault Cruiser. Thanks for the feeback.

MACO Shields for the high cap and 10% energy dmg resist. 3xBorg for the Regenerative Shield Proc.

Anything else just wouldn't be civilized.

Yes, god forbid eng in anything but a starcruiser2.0 aka oddy could produce anything helpful.

no set they ever release will ever top the sheer utility of 3 borg piece set bonus. EVERYONE can make use of free heals that only require you to be shot.

the maco shield just currently happens to be the best flavor of the month shield. it has nearly the single highest cap, its resiliant, it has an ok regen rate, and it has the 10% extra damage resistance.

no other shield offers anywhere near the utility of the maco shield (fed side)

the other set bonuses all have counters/arent that great. so until they completely remove the free healing or introduce another set that offers MORE free healing, nothing will ever compair.

i love the idea of the 3 piece maco and would run that quite regularly for fun... but anytime i ran into a serious group of pugmade/premade id swap to the 3+1 setup.

the hevay grav beam is a fun as hell ability. up to 10k damage with 50% shield pen!? imagine what a tactical could do with that ;)
