I dont think the lifetime sub should have that particular perk. Give them something better than the borg race, and let us who dont have $200 to shell out have the liberated borg now.
And what would this mythical 'better' thing be? I'm not against it per se but you don't exactly offer any alternatives.
As for what I'd buy;
Ship style/room packs for a properly thought out player ship interior system. Same for the lower decks of starbases.
A TNG Movie vest.
A Venture skin for the Nebula class.
A large Starfleet carrier (not a caitian one).
A Gladius carrier pet for the large Starfleet carrier.

A rerace and retrait. Also, the skill tree as it exists should be attached to the ship being commanded not the Captain. A Captain skillset closer to D&D would allow for the possibility of bonuses and deficiencies in areas affording much greater gameplay variety while allowing players to still command ships of various classes and configurations.

The only ship I really want is an Ambassador to fill-out the Enterprise heritage ship line. Other then that I would pay for:
1) Federation Mission Content: either an Expansion Pack or Micro-Missions in the C-Store.
2) KDF Mission Content: either an Expansion Pack or Micro-Missions in the C-Store.
3) Romulan Faction: either an Expansion Pack or Micro-Factions in the C-Store.
4) New STF Missions that were non-Borg related: either an Expansion Pack or Micro Missions in the C-Store.
As you can see, my only real want is more Mission Content of any kind.
STO is about my Liberated Borg Federation Captain with his Breen 1st Officer, Jem'Hadar Tactical Officer, Liberated Borg Engineering Officer, Android Ops Officer, Photonic Science Officer, Gorn Science Officer, and Reman Medical Officer jumping into their Jem'Hadar Carrier and flying off to do missions for the new Romulan Empire. But for some players allowing a T5 Connie to be used breaks the canon in the game.

I'm a lifer and the Borg aren't that good, in fact Joined Trill and Alien are much better options, for both sides. I agree, something faction specific for Lifetime would be better, perhaps Sona for KDF and something Federation for the Federation like the (Tamarians) Children of Tama or whatever they are called, they did join the Federation in the Path to 2409 after all.
