Suggested alteration to the starbases

Make it to where, when we enter a private instance (PvE or PvP) while on the fleet starbase, we load back onto the starbase after the instance is over. What does everyone think? Or, when we quit the game while on the starbase, we load back into the game on the starbase.

It's hard to use the fleet starbase as a 'base' if we can't do this.

    Starbases are not continuously loaded zones. Every starbase for every fleet in the game is a completely new zone file being opened up. Unlike other zones. It's not worth the resources needed to keep your starbase zone running when nobody is inside it, and even if someone is, it's a failsafe just to make sure that the POSSIBILITY of the zone not being properly loaded doesn't happen. At least when you approach your starbase and hit the Dock button, it's telling the game to activate the zone.

    Well, I'm just saying that having it that way contributes to keeping the starbases being used as traffic hubs for each fleet. That was presumably one of the advantages of having access to a well-developed and supplied fleet starbase to begin with.

    I second this. As is, I almost never go to the starbases. Honestly, I'm finding them to be more and more pointless as they progress. For all the time and effort you have to put into them, they sure aren't giving you much in return.

    I agree.

    I find that going to a SB is fairly easy . Once there you should be able to log out and stay there. As a compromise I would not mind being zoned out to sector space just outside the SB when I log back in. Being sent to the sector i was previously in seems a little odd,.


    As we are on the topic of Sb alterations I would also like to be able to make persoanl changes to the SB. Not just merely pay 200k dilithium for something as gawd-awful as the bar or something as silly as tribbles to kick around. Color schemes...maybe some signs with our fleet name at the beam in area. Nothing as innovative or personal as they used to do in SWG with your guildhouse or personal home but something personal.

    I do realize the SB implemntation is only a few days old and there will be improvements over the course of time but I thought I would add my 2 cents worth.
