start as a lower rank officer on board a ship
to slowly go through out the ranks ..

infact i think we should spend more time at the academy doing training missions
prolong the whole thing

GIVE us dorm rooms which out fleet members may be joined to

flying using Bo bufs and dofs bufs things that might seem simple to a VA50 but still teach everything to the "new CADET"

yrs at the academy room mates, academy missions, classrooms, shuttle races, holo missions, ect
REBOOT the skills ...
sci , tact, eng training sims

everything a cadet should learn (all things about current stf's and fleet missions)

name it FED REBOOT or what ever u choose

i think it would breath new life into the game and new interest

people should also have to take the bridge officers test shown in STN - Thine own self

sounds a little like the re-incarnation system that they added to DDO a while back.

I kind of like some of this idea. I think it would be interesting to be able to reroll your character without deleting it. Basically respecing where instead of paying 5 bucks, you just have to invest a good chunk of time playing through missions again. Then again, that would eat into their respec token sales.

my thought of this was to teach people and give a usr a more starfleet feeling

it could teach a person how to do STF's and stf elites b4 they just jump into it

to teach a person all the in's and out's that we all learned in months or yrs like tour and other events

would make more sense than a Ensign becoming a ship captain

Ok, first I want to say, I am against any implimentation of the characters as a Cadet. Seriously, every time I roll a new fed toon I always do the Tutorial. I think it is silly to give a ensign, fresh out of the academy command of a starship. Not to mention immediately bumping them up two ranks to Lieutenant.

Seriously, I don't care how big a war there is, you don't give a rookie command of a ship (unless you are JJ Abrams, and that should tell you all something).

That said, At least with the tutorial I can pretend I am not a fresh ensign, but maybe be around a little while. Then of course I got into this crazy mess and somehow managed to survive with my ship relatively intact. Not perfect as an excuse to give a Lieutenant a ship, but still better then not doing the Tutorial.

Getting that done. I have to ask, Did I read this right, and you want to start over after going through 50 levels? and I assume you are talking going all the way back to level 1?
