We just added some new wallpapers to our wallpaper gallery. Download the new faction and career selection wallpapers today.

    Pity that the ships/uniforms don't look as good ingame as they do on the wallpapers.

    They are working fine for me. Are you having a Flash issue?
    STO is about my Liberated Borg Federation Captain with his Breen 1st Officer, Jem'Hadar Tactical Officer, Liberated Borg Engineering Officer, Android Ops Officer, Photonic Science Officer, Gorn Science Officer, and Reman Medical Officer jumping into their Jem'Hadar Carrier and flying off to do missions for the new Romulan Empire. But for some players allowing a T5 Connie to be used breaks the canon in the game.

    That's not really Star Trek but these wallpapers will billions of guns remind me that it's roughly what STO is about. :D

    What settings are you playing on? They look almost as good as that in my game. I believe these screenshots are also captured using a higher render command like /renderscale 2 which accounts for higher resolution images.

    You need to completely clear out your browser cache. Its an issue with the PW site that continues to go unaddressed.

    I don't usually comment on posts like that because I assume the poster just has a lower-end video card and/or is playing at a lower video setting.

    I've played STO at a friend's house, and he only has an old GTX 8800 card, and it's light night and day difference between that what I normally use.

    Nice wall papers. I appreciate the extra effort put into these. Some of the ones that look like a screen shot don't usually do it for me. They still look good but the personal touch is better.

    In this pic, what outfit is the Gorn wearing? I don't think I've seen that before...

    Also, do the KDF (Gorn and Orion, as pictured) even have access to that (light/bright) shade of yellow? The last time I remember looking in the KDF tailor all they had were drab colors. Is this new?

    It sure would be great if KDF did get access to the more vibrant colors (including lighter yellows, blues, greens, reds, purples/violets, etc.). I know the Klingons themselves may not want them (I bet some would though), but other races that make up the KDF sure would.

    There is an Andorian male in the tactical wallpaper...
    And a Saurian male in the science wallpaper...
    And a Tellarite + human male in the engineering wallpaper...

    They look really great... Only thing I saw in them I wish they would fix that is an eye sore is that orion marauder... it seriously needs someone with a paint brush and an eraser to go to town and make that thing look decent like they did with the newer ships.

    These were made by the amazing ThomastheCat! They were originally produced for what you now see as image previews when creating a character, but he thought it would be awesome to have wallpaper versions, too. I couldn't have agreed more :D Enjoy!

    First. You should take a second look. Exactly 1 poster there is ALL women. Personally I see nothing wrong w/ that at all.

    Second. How do you think women feel seeing posters w/ only men portrayed? Cause you know what it happens all too often.

    Am I the only one that noticed the new weapons, and different shoulders/wrist parts for the maco set. In all them they all have new weapons which is pretty cool, I really like the one the female maco is using, looks like a little smg.

    i was just going to suggest using them as a character creator backdrop when selecting captain type

    I happen to have my Win7 wallpaper selector set to my STO screenshots directory, where it rotates between a random screenshot every hour.

    The whole Fed Sci poster reads like the opening of a bad joke. "So a Vulcan, a Saurian, and a Rigellian walk into a bar..."

    Just some feedback because the artists at Cryptic do a really good job... If they can fit in the schedule to make some of the KDF ships mainly the Orion Marauder and the Kar'fi given another pass on how they look... They are very great ships just not so pleasant on the eyes.

    I had seen these just the day before when I made a new character and thought they would make good desktop pics. So glad they did this! :D

    that is the Klingon Honor Guard Set from STFs, with some color and no helmet

    The new Weapons are the Elite FLEET Weapons you get from the Starbase (we are at Tier 3 and i just got my first one a few days back)

    The ones on the Tactical and Science Starfleet images do look different thant the two sets Ive seen in game.
