Directed Energy Modulation..worth it?

I'm having thoughts on adding my build to my Mirror Star and My Assault cruiser since Directed Energy Modulation deals more bleedthrough by energy weapons.

Both of their Engineering builds are mainly the same but with minor differences:
Commander Engineer: EPtW1, EPtS2, EPtS3, Aux to SIF 3
Lt Commander Engineer:ET1 (May switch to EPtW1), RSP1, ES2
Lt Science: TSS1, HE2
Lt Tac: TT1, APB1
Ens Tac (Assault Cruiser):THY1
Ens Sci (Mirror Star Cruiser):JS1 (Jam Sensors)

If I switch to DEM1/2 would that be beneficial or would be a little bit worthless?

P.S. I started to think about DEM when I saw the Hakaishin build for the Galaxy-X, and I wondered if it could be beneficial for both of my cruisers.

Not really but it may work in your build as you have 3 powers on the same cool down.
On another note. I would switch HE and TSS around. HE 1 does just about the same at 1 as it does at 2, but TSS gets a lot better at 2 and the best at 3.

DEM does not do that much so if you do not have an open spot then do not get it. But if you are having trouble filling all your Eng. spots then try it out.

I think that it does not do enough to take up a spot.

Tbh, DEM works best with cannons.
