Just figured I'd suggest some things since they have improved melee to a satisfactory level.
As long as they keep it as is or make it better since I can go on any KDF toon regardless of class and feel the melee is doing what it should and one of the biggest reasons the sales on the melee weapon for KDF we do have in C-Store didn't do too well in the past was because of two things. The first one was melee damage was TRIBBLE and the second reason was its just a green quality and should be a purple quality coming from the c-store.
That being stated compared to ships and such I think if they are worried about spending too many resources on the KDF to start with new melee weapons and purple quality weapons related to the KDF races. It can't be anywhere near as time consuming as the time ships take.
There are lots of things like the warriors circle in the first city and such things that could potentially make money with the KDF they just need to start out doing some small things to make it fleshed out in that regard... Leveling content is more less not really on my list of things when using the term fleshed out its more a long the list of things to get and do once you've reached maximum level. Would be nice though to see some Gorn and Orion type weapons too (even some collars to stick on enemies to zap the TRIBBLE out of em Orion Style LOL).
I think a bundle pack like the DS9 bundle but for KDF. It could have new costumes and weapons and some doffs, the costumes will be KDF only but the weapons and doffs can be claimed by Fed players so they don't complain that the KDF gets everything.:D
Klingon painstik definitely needs to be added, along with the d'k tahg and mek'leth. Orion and Gorn weapons would be sweet, as well. I'd love a KDF bundle.
Star Trek: Online - Now with 100% more dinosaurs!!

Yeah well possibly now that you guys said what you said I think they should have a special bundle that fits with what you guys are saying.
Something like say fed side you get costumes that are more based on like the Vulcan Council, Andorian Royal Guard, etc with special new lirpas for vulcans, the andorian weapon we do not have...
Then they could add in all the Klingon, Nausicaan, Gorn, Orion, etc weapons and costumes we don't have. They could just split them up in ratio of how many kdf to fed races there are because there are a lot more fed only races but the KDF has superior ground combat passives to the races.
Hopefully they could do it like that where its no longer this thing where you keep seeing fed stuff raining down in the c-store but nothing for the KDF... I'd rather see bundles like that where when yer buying stuff you are getting something for both sides.

I would too, but many don't. I think if they did bundles and work on both sides cross faction bundles wouldn't be necessary but with the current state of the game I think it's a necessary evil.
A weapons bundle that gives faction specific weapons for both sides like the Mek'Leth for the KDF and Ushaan for the Federation would work well now that as you say Melee has been improved.
I'd also like to see KDF uniform bundles and such. I say they start small and then work their way up. A non-ship bundle every 2 months and a episode every fortnight/month would be a step in the right direction. They don't need the voiceover guff that some missions have, that is totally unnecessary and often is more annoying than anything else.
Support the Game by Supporting the KDF, equality and uniqueness for all factions!

Yeah when you get to a point where one faction gets that monetary bias mostly due to development problems whatever they may be and being this game was and is based on a story line over half a century in the making before Cryptic was ever heard of there are a lot of players out there who have no idea what Star Trek is all about so yeah its a necessary evil to come out with a bundle like this that provides something for both sides and if when or at all if we get more factions to play thats how it would need to unfold.
I am kind of hoping that at some point for a player that when you start a character that its clear for a player that you are living in the year 2409. As time progresses with certain maps and such that you get the feeling as time is moving forward. Just a *fictional example* say you start a new character and you go through all the missions and you always see Worf there at the bench. Then say for fictional example that Worf or Drex kills Jm'pok and either worf takes his rightful place that he could have done when killing gowron or that Drex gives him the power as he did to his father Martok. So when doing 2409 missions you see worf at the bench but once you've gone far enough into the game with content or progression of some sort you have noticable changes based on your actions in the game. That is what I would rather see than some cinematic with voice overs as far as cosmetic work that you get your enjoyment out of it first couple runs you do but then the way they do it modeling after all other games out there you just end up getting sick of it which I think is where we are both coming from *I think* LOL. Anyways that was the best fictional example I could think of to explain my pains I have with how the story works in the game.

I bought that c-store Bat'leth the other day. Thought it would be nice to have one that I didn't need to replace, even if it wasn't the highest DPS melee weapon in the game.
Sadly I feel like I wasted 300 zen on it, but not because of what it is, but rather because a in game reward seems to be better.
The Shard Sword of Kahless you get for finishing the Gates of Gre'thor mission. As far as I can tell it does everything the c-store Bat'leth does, but does slightly more DPS.
The Sword of Khless, does slightly better DPS (about 1dps or so from what I saw), had 80% shield pen, and gets better every level. Plus it's not only free, you get it for simply finishing that mission, doesn't even require crafting.
I know that c-store stuff isn't meant to be worlds better then in game rewards. But I really fell like I wasted 300 zen on something I replaced a hour or so later because the in game reward is slightly better.

Also, the reason I never purchased the melee weapons thing: Single-Character, and for a single character unlock it was too expensive.

I support the OP.

I would love a melee only ground PvP for this.
