Cryptic Please Bring the Shard and Cane out Again!!

Since the release of Season 6 with many ground missions - there are lots and lots of people who created or now use characters that they never even dreamed they would be using the Shard or the Cane.
The Shard and the Cane are extremely handy in the new ground missions which a lot of players don't have. I have several toons that are new or now used for ground that I never bothered to get the Shard or cane because there was no ground content that I used them on.
It would be great if you coul turn these back on for a limited time to allow all those players a chance to get them for the toons they are now using on the new content.

They'll probably be available with a new round of re-runs at some point in the future.:)
Wow. Has it been that long already? Time does fly. I can definitely see it happening within the next month or two.
A rerun would be nice, so new players and ferasan chars could get the cane and the reman.
I don't think they should stick to schedule - this is a special case - as all the new ground content was added after season 6 and most people could not have anticipated it or prepared for it. Also S6 has lead to many new people and new Characters being created which don't have it - as anyone who has run lots of the new ground content can atest to.
Most likey this will happen in October.
As I said, I think they should do it sooner(like now) - a lot of people grinding the ground content are getting "grinding Fatigue" - those that don't have the Shard or the cane would certainly get a boost - and this is even more important now that many fleets are into the T2 and T3 projects.

I personally think they should happen (AT MOST) twice a year.
Preferably once a year.
Why not just add the special rewards in all the time, because the frequency you all seem to want to see them appear would make them VERY "NOT" special anymore.
The new content can be easily completed without the cool toys (Cane /Shard).
To claim that the TWO plus Nukara new ground missions somehow make it imperative that everyone get the cane and shard is ridiculous. The content is EASY to complete without them.
This is just someone using the "excuse" of the new content as a way to call for getting the cane and shard on characters he didn't get them for in the first or second reruns.
Another reRun will happen. We know that it will. Probably some time in November.

This is not a case of I wasn't around to get the cool shiny toys.
This is a case of , I didn't bother to get the shiny toys, and now that suddenly there is new content where I want the shiny toys, I want Cryptic to give another chance at the shiny toys which I decided not to bother with the first time I had a chance to get them.
At least that's how it sounds to me.
All due respect, I don't think replays is going to relieve grinding fatigue. It likely will cause more stress in people having to work around their grinding to do the replays. And unless there is some real incentive, they won't likely do them since the majority of STO players already have the special rewards from these missions.
IMHO, the only way to stop grinding fatigue in STO is if they add more content that diversifies the methods of grinding. Which for Marks, they recently added the ability to get them in the Deferi Event. That or players take time off from the game til they get their second wind return to grinding.

these items arent special tho, they are bound and unique.. you cant sell them and you can do the mission and get them for free..

I never said it was time. It just felt like less time had gone by. As far as I'm concern I still can see it happening in a month or two.

(2) I also stated that the items you are requesting are in NO way needed for any of the new content. To claim or imply otherwise , is just plain false.
The point I am trying to make is yes I do have toons that i would like the cane and shard for - I yes I did not bother to get them before either a)they did not exist and have now be created for the new S6 content, or

I get that you want the cool Cane and Shard for other toons. I also have some new toons that I would love to have them on, would love to get that IDIC tribble for, etc. But I am willing to wait.
3 months just seems a VERY short amount of time to be calling for Feature ReRuns is all. We will probably see ReRuns every 6(ish) months or so.

You guys also have to think if they do a re-run they also bring back the Lobi rewards. And then how would that work? Would cryptic be willing to give everyone another chance to get 15 free lobi? Or would they not let folks pick it up again?
I haven't been able to claim it with any characters that were not around during the special get an ICIC tribble event. One of my other toons who had one and dismissed it, could reclaim and get a new one from that guy, but I do not think toons that were not around can get it.

Yes, no Ferasan can get the shiny toys everyone has. I think my cat could use a shard, a cane and some exotic bridge officers!
