Good day,
for some reason I made my first char an escort flying science captain. Nonetheless I'd like to make it work with your help
Main focus is going to be STFs with the occasional PvP match
My main problem was that most escort guides are probably from a tac's point of view and while I've seen some exotic sci builds, I'm not sure if they work in PVE.
Equipment is probably going to be the classic 3 Dual Cannons, 1 (Quantum) Torpedo Launcher and 3 turrets in the back (to make it clear, I'm using the "free" Advanced escort)

For my build, I prefer to use a DBB with BOIII to supplement my burst damage (replaces the torp so I don't have to put skillpoints into it). The Fleet Advanced Escort would be nice, but it will be a while before anyone unlocks it. However, my skill setup is versatile enough to move into pretty much any escort. My ground skills are fine. I can switch between medic and physicist kits, and most of the other ground skills don't have enough effect to be worthwhile in PvE.

I chose APO because it looks like it works well in PvE and PvP (and because changing that skill slot as a sci would be annoying since I'm not yet in a fleet)
I'll def try out beam overload once I do more PvP so that my torps actually hit unshielded hulls :<
