apparently the wells timeship has been spotted ingame or something.
from what i red it seems its not supposed to be there but sometimes pops up.
i have a feeling this will be released as a player ship sometime.

i wonder what game breaking p2w it'll have that completely undoes all their work at fixing pvp.

Time will tell, of course.
i dont think it'll be a lockbox ship.
that thread makes an argument that the korath and the wells have a slim chance at being the 1000day reward ships.
So cute.
I'm doubtful it would be a veteran reward ship. Cryptic/PWE will be more inclined to make some money off of it.

well theres really nothing else to say about pvp at the moment that hasnt been beaten to death with a hammer. and borticus is on vacation.. and this is a ship that will probably be making an appearance by the end of the year... i thought it might be interesting to try to figure out its impact on pvp by figuring out how its powers shown on the show might be translated into usable powers by the players.
there are only a few weeks till the 1000 day reward. which is a ship.
there are only 2 similar ships shown, the wells and that klingon ship. unless they plan the vesta to be the 1000 day ship (which i dont think they would).
the wells is a 29th century ship. itd be the "perfect" reward for people willing to sink 1000days worth of subscription.
i wasnt "quoting" a source, i was simply stating that forcing a customer to subscribe for 1000 days is one hell of a money maker for the company for a ship to be rewarded, because not only does the customer have to pay for the 1000 days (either monthly or lifetime) and then the sheer waiting period of 1000 days a lot of people would probably also spend money on other things.
it would also make some sense if this is the case since it is such a "different" kind of ship then anything else in the game (being a ship from the 29th century and all) that maybe the only way they could bring it in would be by convincing CBS that it takes years of playing to receive it, making it even more rarer then lockbox ships. (since their logic on those was that they'd be rare -rolls eyes-)
this is of course all pure speculation, but i like try to put puzzle pieces together, and this puzzle appears to me to fit.
of course id also love to be proved wrong because this ship has no place in this game as a player ship. so if it is only a story ship (i cant recall any federation ship that is only a story ship btw) then thatd be the best result.

The rewards page simply states "Free exclusive Starship variant" which could possibly mean it is simply something cosmetic. The fact that they are giving a free Starship slot and already have given an exclusive Material at 900 days might lend to your point but I wouldn't count on it being much if they are giving it away for free.

Oh.. oh god, you meant pve? You call that content? For us, there is no other content than pvp. Because PVE we can beat by quite literally rolling our faces around on the keyboard, the story is to most of us, on the quality level of a bad fanfiction minus the /slash and pairings, and the mini games are so contrived that we can't believe any developer post 1998 would put them into a what is supposed to be their Premier Title.
i understand that, but after 2+ years of no pvp content.... i cant complain about the pvp content because there is none to complain about :P and 99% of the pve content they add has dire/massive/negative impact on the pvp side of things.
so yes, i know. PVP is the furthest thing from their mind -rolls eyes-
its- Fris (product of denmark) 80 proof, and almost no taste! i mixed it with sierra mist natural (almost tastes like water) and all it tasted after adding was like water!
yes, i know i tend to rant and ramble and what-not but i have my moments!
now here i go further down the rabbit hole. take those signs there! and the recent change to the basic science ship. the nova/RI refit, retro fit/fleet fit. ship. they just increased its turn rate a little more... notice too that the fleet version is different from the retrofit version. the retrofit version follows the teir 2 and teir 2.5 BO layout similarly then the fleet fit version.
the new ship will be an "exclusive varriant". MAYBE the wells class will be a variant of the science ship. sort of a place between the fleetfit and retrofit science ship filling that gap maybe by having a universal ltcmdr slot allowing it to be used either as a fleet fit or as a retrofit version of the science ship unlocking. i say varriant becuase i think it'll have only 9 console slots (so the fleet ship will still be the better choice) and maybe itll have slightly better shields or something. (if they go this route) and if this is done, itll be a ship skin that can be used on the science ship.
i know this is extremly long shotting but hey, its fun for me :P
i still think it'll be the wells/whatever the klingon one is for the 1000 day reward with a better version offered in the cstore (ie itll have a console).

You should see the things I've called various devs to their faces.
I would be quite happy to tell this Kestrel what I think of his/her writing ability.
maybe if more people told the dev's to their faces what they thought of the game then the game would improve.
or it would get worse... although i dont really see how it could get worse.... hmmmm...
Only way it gets worse is if they start including the /slash and pairings.
