Hey everyone,

In light of today's release I decided to look backwards to see if there were any warnings on tribble that we were going to have a problem with the doff system.

The following are warnings that this will create an issue:

I have read numerous posts when people simply say, well the changes were on tribble, you should've spoken up before it went live. Well all three posts in the tribble area are mostly negative if at all postiive to this particular change.

Here's hoping that someone at cryptic warned the company this was a bad idea and can now tell them 'I told you so!'.

    Which of course is silly argument for ANYONE to make because:

    1) It presumes that everyone who plays the games plays on both Holodeck and Tribble regularly.

    2) Suggests that the typical 24 hour window that most updates are on Tribble are used by the Devs for anything more then as a stability test of the latest builds. PWE certainly can't be trying to tell us that 24 hrs by handlfull of playes is "playtesting", can they?

    It also falsely assumes people did not mention it on tribble.
    I first read about it in tribble forums.
    It is clearly a way to get people to waste credits and time. A bad way to.

    So.

    Everyone should stop using the Fleet Doff officer.
    Since there are some who will post these to the exchange don't buy any from there either.
    And heck, while we are at it let's all pass on the c-store ones while we are at it.

    But it seems everything in the game is working as intended.
    I think SNAFO covers it better.

    They've finally made a decision on how to deal with the doffs although I would've been satisfied if they just made fleet doffs distinguishable from non fleet doffs:

    Hopefully in the future when there is relatively a lot of discussion in the tribble section of the forums they will take a step back and listen.

    I am pretty sure someone at cryptic/PWE saw this change and recognized a major issue with it. Hopefully he will be able to point to the forums for support or a more suitable solution.

    P.S. I'm glad the company took a step to alleviate the issue in a timely fashion.
