Let us bring Boffs to our Stabase

So why isn't there an option to be able to select at least one Boff to accompany you to your Fleet Starbase? It would be nice to have the choice to bring one along ... pretty please? :)

It's a Social Zone. You can't bring BOFFs in a non-mission or Social Zone.

Yeah I realise that also, but seeing that Fleet Starbases are a unique Zone, not just social, bringing Boffs along (even just 1) should be considered.

I like this idea, but it would also be nice if we can bring one selected Boff in social areas anyway if so desired. They can be called and follow you similar to how the existing pets in the game are.

I think in Champions, they already have something similar in place, and of course, in SW:TOR. Some of us really like having our Boffs around, and it would be nice if we can do so without going in a ground mission.

Not in EVERY social, or ESD and DS9 would be spammed more then normal. But I would like to have the option to showcase my crew in non combat situations, Where we can show off the bio and personalities of these boffs. I think the Fleet base would be a good place to start.

I think we should be allowed to bring one bridge officer down when we go. Its a social zone, well this is an RPg, so its social role playing, well I want to role play with my first officer at my side.

This was something I proposed over a year ago with the boffs as pets idea. Never got a dev's response to it though.

I proposed it a couple of months ago as well. I would love to see it happen. :( It could also be labelled as a "Yeoman" position. That would be cool too...

why? I mean it would be like bringing a boff to DS9 or Earth spacedock... they would serve no purpose and just be more screen clutter... we have enough pets following people as screen clutter already

if you want to show off your boffs do a mission with or invite someone to your bridge

There are many occasions when having a boff along could be VERY handy

    some examples

"Ensign Ryan hold my coffee please"

"Ensign Ryan where am i supposed to be going ??"

"Lt commander Sanik did you just see YODA ?or should I report to bones for a check up"

"Bones I think I just saw Yoda "

"Security to ESD zone 7 Borg incursion in Exchange"

    and the Klingon side

"He insults my honour Fetch the Bat'leths Bekk"

"Another half naked Orion???? Mr Malk , Escort this young woman to find some Trousers"

    "ARGHH Tribbles Open FIRE "

"Remind me Commander how many romulans did I split in half with that Table ? "

"Ah Admrial Quinn We meet at last GET HIM TARGGY"

Probably because it will lead to some asking for Orion Slave girls.

    This.

There was a bug right after the DS9 revamp where your away team beamed down with you, so it's possible. Make it so, Cryptic.

    Note on Orion female Biochemistry

You have an orion "slave girl" she owns YOU not the other way round

Orion women produce a control pheromone that works on males of many species

(notably NOT Gorn , Saurians , Andorians , Breen , or most Vulcans Also does very little to females)

This is why in incursion only Those people (and people in environmental suits) should engage orion females

thank you for repeating obvious information everyone already knows and that doesn't exist in this game beyond a ground trait skill that only affects enemies

This is only a problem if you don't express their pheromone glands regularly. :D :P

So how is that any different from real life? Especially from a certain percentage of the female population.

I agree, having at least one of my bridge officers with me on base if I wanted would be great. It would make them seem that much more "real" as they wouldn't exist solely on my ship.

Let's face it, we already have "Orion Slave Girls" and it's not a problem at all, so I don't see how the ability to have one follow you around would somehow make it one. haha.

Cryptic, please give us an option to turn other people's pets OFF. Once that's done then I say let it rip for displaying BOFFs in social areas.

Some people want to display 4 BOFFs, 3 targs, 3 sehlats, 2 mugato's and every last one of their DOFFs if they could! While I understand the want to show your crew + pets there's no need for everyone else to suffer from the extra lag it will create.

Not everything has to be about efficiency and practical purposes. Some people would like to be able to RolePlay. While I dont full on roleplay characters. I do write up Ship Specs, Crew Bios and short stories involving my ship, character and crew.

Boffs just need more love. :( They're totally absent from the endgame, other than FE's and those are a bit finicky anyway, Boffs can't use a lot of gear that captains can (very well), they can't use off duty outfits even though they should, there's a lot of places Boffs would be very useful *Coughnukuracoughcough*, and they're so underused I forgotten about most of them... That makes me very sad. :(

I'ld rather see some of the generic npc's wondering around the place with the boff's of fleet member who are docked walking around the station. - they could even populate the bar, buy stuff at the merch's - access their bank account's - etc,etc...

Seems logical that some of them would have business on the base, aside from following you around like a pet dog, would be cool to see them wondering around.

and while we're on the subject, let us change the uniforms on the generic npc's that walk around the base, as well as on our ships.

No, let's not do this. The major traffic hubs have enough problems as it is without loitering RPers and small-talkers bringing their boffs down with them.

Institute it when there are options for avoiding the major traffic hubs, or when the servers can actually handle the traffic increase.

Your roleplay doesn't override other player's needs for a workable traffic hub that doesn't take 10+ minutes to load into and have epic screen lag due to said RPers spending their entire playtime in the traffic hub.

I think the lag in the hubs has more to do with fire extinguishers than characters, but maybe that's just me. :)
