Captains, the Olympics may be ending, but now is the perfect time to go Gold. We're discounting three-month Gold subscriptions, giving you a monthly stipend, increased Foundry access and more!

    Just some random thoughts...
    If you're levelling one or more new characters, a sub is a no-brainer value, if only for the bank slots. No question.

    Hopefully this means they're close to turning the Foundry back on. ;)

    Unless the stipend policy has changed, be aware that monthly stipends are awarded month+1, so the first day of your second month, you get the points. Unless they make an exception for "3-month packages", that means if your sub lapses you won't get anything for month 3+1. I'd love to be corrected on this, but if not, caveat emptor.

    Finally, the matrix looks a bit odd, with "customer service" in lower case, with no information about the difference between Limited and Unlimited.

    Gold members also get a monthly Cryptic Store stipend of 500 ZEN, half the value of the monthly subscription.

    In no world is $5.00 half of $14.99.... 1/3 yes, 1/2 no. Either that needs to be rewritten or youre telling us that the monthly sub is only worth $10.00 and were dumb for paying $14.99 for it...

    Also... my advice, tell us when this ends... not just 'Limited time."

    The current sale makes the Gold only cost $10.00. Thus with the Stipend it's only costing the player $5.00. Thus half.
    STO is about my Liberated Borg Federation Captain with his Breen 1st Officer, Jem'Hadar Tactical Officer, Liberated Borg Engineering Officer, Android Ops Officer, Photonic Science Officer, Gorn Science Officer, and Reman Medical Officer jumping into their Jem'Hadar Carrier and flying off to do missions for the new Romulan Empire. But for some players allowing a T5 Connie to be used breaks the canon in the game.

    Except thats not what it says... It doesnt specify at this rate...

    Youre right... if I sub for 3 months in the sale, than the value would be equal to 3 months for 10 bucks... but that doesnt change the fact that the actual value of a 1 month sub is $14.99 and 500 zen is not half of that.

    the gold vs silver matrix says that gold members gain additional bank and inventory slots on level up. If I go gold would already leveled characters gain those inventory & Bank Slots?

    If so do you keep those benefits if the subscription expires, the extra bank and inventory slots.

    Also, how does this affect the new account bank feature. Does one gain access to that as past gold members do?

    Do you keep the account bank as well?

    As I understand it past gold members who have gone silver have the account bank feature as well, but I may be wrong.

    Oh and what does priority login mean? Is that possibly what is causing my server disconnects, the fact that I only have a silver account?

    Nope, that's what "*ON* level up" means. Not retroactively. Same with the respecs. Everything is tied to the promotion missions at 10, 20, 30, 40, 45, 50, flipping a switch.

    Yes you do keep the slots earned.

    During the Season 6 launch there was about a 6 hour span where we saw login queues. Golds got in to play first. That's all that means. Has nothing to do with disconnects.

    It made things pretty frustrating for fleets with leaders who are silvers and couldn't get in to set the permissions. :D But that's all gone now.

    I went "gold for a month" and got the extra slots, even on already leveled characters. The only thing I didn't get retroactively was the respec tokens.

    Thanks, yeah I am not very concerned with respec tokens, but am very curious about the additional storage space. If a 2nd person can confirm this I will most likely buy the 3 month gold membership.

    So Silver members can either spend $20 for 20 of the new Account bank slots (and how ever much else for the rest of the Gold perks) or they can spend $30 and get $15 worth of Zen as well as 20 Account Bank slots and all the purchasable Gold perks they would otherwise have to spend Zen for. Seems like a no brainer to me... Sadly I'm already a LTS

    when I saw the Champions Online sale, I thought, well if we get it, this will be more expensive.
    I am hope I am wrong, and might even get this subscription, for a new character to level

    I can confirm. All gold perks are rewared retroactively, with the exception of respecctokens. If your toon is already captain or higher, I might add, you can ignore the ranking up quests, and keep them for times you sub. You will get respecctokens then, and captain ships are strong enough to advance till VA.
    Having C-Store ships is a plus doing this.

    I started a toon two days ago and resubbed for it. Had I known of the sale, I would have gotten it. Since I don't need any more ZEN, and won't play another toon for a long time, I don't mind though ;)

    If only the subscription was always 10 bucks per month, I might have considered subbing for several month in a row though. So, good catch on this one.

    Anyone silver, who has 30 bucks to spare, use this opportunity, it is really worth it (this time)!

    You have broken the Stipend system my account has not been properly ported over under this ZEN system..
    You collected this months payment and own me 2 months of stipend as a GOLD member since year one.

    its asking for a confirmation code to buy ZEN. .i haven't c-stored with a credit card
    since the change to zen but received all
    my zen from ore in Champions on line as a silver.. spent some nop problem and at day 894 last itiem i checked my Gold Account statis there was no problem with this STO. . now we have a very serious thing.. you have my money and i have a valid credit card on fill with you.

    If you purchase this, but cancel your subscription, you will be able to keep your personal bank and inventory slots. However, any other gold bonuses will be revoked, such as having more bridge officers, and access access to the account bank. Additionally, the bonuses you are supposed to receive will not transfer over to any secondary characters you might have.


    Caveat emptor is in effect.

    Does anyone know how this would effect my case? I am currently a gold member, subscribed, one month at a time. Will I be able to pick the three month and get this discount for the three months after my current month expires? (If not, the accounting team made a horrible mistake...)

    Why did I loss a month sub time and almost 300 vets day. Switching from the former 3 month payment plan to this new one.

    Also why did I go from about 715 vet days to 480 vet days ???

    I summitted a ticket.

    But I hope to here some answer here first. Maybe

    I think this is a great deal and re-subbed immediately upon reading this. I do have one question though: the limited time, is it like the "limited time" TOS uniforms in the TOS bundle, or is it an actual limited time?

    I can confirm it as well. You get more bank space, inventory space, an account bank with EC storage and 20 spaces, 4 Boff slots, 4 ship slots, 1 character slot, retrain tokens for each char you level while you're a gold member and a 500 zen stipend each month. All of that stuff you get to keep if you go back to F2P.

    Additionally your EC cap is increased while you are gold, but is reduced to 10 million once you revert back to F2P. Any EC above that cap, you get to keep, but you can't earn more until you drop below 10 million again.

    Also another reminder that you can also get 30 days of gold-membership if you buy an old retail-version of the game and enter the key in your account management. Considering that some retailers are shelling them out at prices below $1, it might be smarter to go that route.

    Hopefully they actually give you the stipend; some people have been missing their stipends for months with no answer from support.

    You can go into the billing site now and select the option for the discounted 3-month sub.

    Anytime we've ever checked into someone who's requested research on if they missed their stipend, we've always found that their stipend was delivered. It's an automatic process -- if you're getting billed (or have a lifetime sub), you're getting your stipend. :) I even thought I missed mine one time but it had turned out that I forgot that I used the Dilithium Exchange.

    We are working on a way to better notify players when their stipend is delivered, but there is no ETA on when it will go live.

    I tend to agree - I have a habit of not noticing and going....did I get it?

    Really it would make sense for it to appear in the history of the dilithium exchange as a transfer in I guess.

    Expect this next to C-Store purchase history ;-)

    Some noticification would be very nice, of both when you get it and when you can expect it. I subbed up along with a friend who I got into the game, he got his stipend immediately, but I'm still sitting on the same amount I had prior. Haven't submitted a ticket yet because I'm simply not sure when I'm supposed to get mine, whether at the start of the subscription, or if it just checks for a subscription on the same date that I had originally subscribed.

    So if I have 8 toons at VA I will get the inventory slots for all?

    And I will get a repec token for each one? This is more of a concern since repec 8 toons is expensive.
