After two years, I finally decided to start my own fleet. Got a couple of friends involved and two people nicely joined the team to make 5. 1 actually stuck around and one left right after. So it's done. I don't want this thing to become one of the "super" fleets, but I wouldn't mind recruiting. I'm asking other fleet leaders for some ideas. I see people "recruit" in zone chat, but I know some see that as spam so I would like to avoid doing that to often. I personally get annoyed with fleet requests just randomly being thrown at me. So what is the best way to recruit without being annoying. One fleet leader the other night asked me privately first if I wanted to join his fleet. I liked his method of asking first instead of just spamming someone. Any ideas would be great. You can even mail me in-game with some ideas too, @BSG62.

Our fleet dosen't recruit using those zone chat posts. When someone asks for help. we give it. If we find they are a good match we ask them if they would like to join us, if they say yes, then we send the invite.
This is something we learned from playing BSGO together, and it works. We don't get large numbers of recruits but the ones we do get this way are more quality ones.
I had actually planned on doing a (yet another) sto help site with links to my fleet and a support forum and all that but with recent events I seriously doubt that will happen now.
