It will be great if our fleet starbases can be located near a planet.This can be an idea for a featured project.And one more thing,hope we can rearrange the fleet starbase facilites
I have pretty much come to the conclusion that the Season 6 Features trailer was false advertizing as far as this little thing is concerned. Notice the demonstration base cooked up for said trailer:
The starbase featured in the trailer's by at least a double planetary system whereas, to my knowledge, no in-game starbases are anywhere near a planet; they're stuck out in deep space, a lonely, cold outpost. I would have liked our starbases to have some kind of backdrop scenery other than stars and a sun.
Not to mention our branch structures are so far removed from the main starbase as to be simply remote satellites. Whether this will change in future Feature Projects I don't know. But I find it hard to believe we will ever get an 'Add a Whole Frakking Planet' project.
( It would be funny though... 200k dilithium for a planet sure puts 200k dilithium for a pile of tribbles into perspective. )

as slightly silly as it would be to have a planet suddenly turn up, i really would like a project to add a planet to the system, even if its in the background and you cant fly around it. it would add some colour and life to the system.

Somehow, I'm guessing that may be their plan...to add some form of customization to the starbase system. I'm not quite sure the advertisement was false yet...they may have other things for us in the works.

Agreed. A project "move the starbase near a planet" would be great. I would be glad with a gas giant, but it would be even better with a class M planet we could visit. Why not being the guardians of a small colony we could use?
Oh, come on, devs, I'm sure you have already planned something like that. 200k dil for the planet, 200k dil for a transporter to the planet, 200k dil for a small colony, 200k dil for more colonists, etc. With new fleet events: defend the colonists from wild animals. I'm serious, you already have them.

I think the point of the planet is for the system space where the starbase exists looks very empty... not that its hard to get to...
