Buddy, I've seen VA's who had less dps than my one of my advanced slaver squadrons :P granted, leveling isn't everything, but its so easy to hit l50 that it really irks me that people who haven't leveled yet are wasting other peoples time in end game content.

Fleet stuff isn't end game. It's for everyone. :P Well, except for no win. That's level 50 only.

I don't mind seeing rear admirals in the normal STFs either, so long as they're actually contributing.

no, no no..... it wouldn't count time spend waiting to respawn, but would start counting when the respawn timer ran down.

Then this wouldn't work. I was in a Fleet mission the other day. We had 5 people start it, with in seconds one guy charged forward and got shot down, he was a VA. He never bothered to respawn until the countdown timer on the game was at 0:05. He respawned and got his marks that me and the four other players worked for. Then warped out. He went onto me and my 2 other Fleet members ignore after a couple of mintues of being "AFK".

And Yes I am still against a Vote to Kick

I must have missed the post where Cryptic/PWE declared Fleet Events end game content. Seeing that they are open to all levels would, to me, indicate that they are not end game. Can someone provide a link?

Edit: For the record, I have also seen some VA's with less DPS than a Peregrine Fighter Squadron.

What I'm interested in is why a lt. Cmdr. Is in a fleet event instead of leveling. As for the VA thing, I once was able to take probes on one side oof KASE while taking out one of thhe transformers and the spawn that came with it before the other 4 VA's could deal with their side.

Because they want to get Fleet Marks to contribute to a project so they can get fleet credits? The event is open to everyone level 2 and up, and leveling gets boring after a while.

Well, these LT Commanders MAY wish to contribute to the construction of their fleet base... and one of the most sought out commodities are fleet marks. SO, they play the fleet events.

Fleet Events are open to everyone... if you do not want to be teamed with lower ranked players, then create private matches... its as simple as that... no development, no programming, no more time needed to implement anything.

You have the power/tools available at your disposal today to never have to deal with another fleet event with lower ranked players.

It even makes canon sense that lower ranked players are there... imagine the scenario... a Starbase falls under attack, they send out a General Distress Call... wouldn't any starship in the vicinity rush to assist? As long as they had weapons?

From a purely military standpoint (Starfleet, and KDF being Military organizations)...people who leave the battle field are considered deserters, which is a crime... and should carry a stiff penalty.

Personally, I don't mind the mix of players (some of the funnest fleet events I've been in were with some lower tiered ships)... I do, however, mind those who leave, and those who do not even attempt to contribute.

The timer would only freeze when there was a countdown stopping you from respwaning. It would run any time the respawn button is available.

The people that read the tickets investigate this and I dunno, ban people from joining events if the multiple gm complaints filed about them are true?!!

Ran colony invasion several times tonight and saw members of the same fleet standing at spawn point. They never moved, had multiple injuries left unhealed, and passed on loot. They never spoke even when I confronted them in chat. I reported them.

They think they are being amusing claiming to be "conscientious objectors" or something. I think they should be banned.

What are you doing about this Devs?

A professional griefer would have at least "needed" on the loot. You're dealing with amateurs

If I see them repeatedly throughout the night doing this, they are a problem none-the-less. They seem to be cycling through all the events even as I'm typing.

I tried speaking to a group of them on DS9 after, they danced about me waving their arms, threatening to report me for tos violations after I mentioned this forum post.
I told them I might share their names with the podcast folks who aren't under any stipulations to stay quiet. I collected several of their @names for such a possibility.

The spokesperson for the group claimed that not healing up was because she wanted to see how many simultaneous injuries one could acquire. Doesn't explain the other three people standing there with 3 or more injuries. Joining a que while your character is impaired is a bit like griefing in itself.

w/e I'm gonna keep reporting every one I see until cryptic takes my report button away. I implore the community to do the same.

So... You're proposing abusing the report system and calling for others to effectively harass them on your behalf? Wut?

Trying to twist my words there a bit eh?

Regarding the leeches, I only ask they be reported when seen in the act.

Obviously I'm not asking anyone to harass, but i do however feel they deserve notoriety.

Leeching off the efforts of teammates, chronically, should be a bannable offense.

Lastly, I'm not sure why you are sounding so defensive as the innocent have nothing to fear.

what hes askng is to report anyone you see trolling or leeching or greifing (if anyone knows names from the troll fleets, then by all means spam them!). there are players out there with a dozen or more tickets filed against them, with no action yet taken. 'richer than you' comes readily to mind. if we 'spam' the report system, the people who are supposed to be looking into this might actually take action.

That's always an amazing line to hear no matter how often I hear it. The innocent always have something to fear when there's fools and zealots about.
